I have been coming to The Pizza Press for over a year and have always had stellar service and great tasting pizza, but today had one of the most confrontational and awful experiences I have ever had in a place of business. This is what happened. I went into the store at about 8pm today, 1/25/2023 and noticed the prices were higher than they were a week or two ago. Not a problem as a $12 personal pizza is still a great deal versus $10. A nice dude who I’ve seen before made my pizza and all was well. A different employee by the name of Chris who is a manager called my name when the pizza was ready. I went up and he asked if I wanted any sauces and I said yes 3 ranch 2 pesto. He responded with its 60 cents per sauce. I was a little taken aback because I’ve never been charged for sauce and have been getting 5 sauces for over a year (which I said to him) and he said “well I guess I have to fire some people.” Like, wow that’s not a way to respond. I asked if it said somewhere (like on the menu) that sauces cost 60 cents and he responded with “I say they do.” in a very rude manner. I said alright that’s fine and asked if he was having a good day or a bad day. I genuinely wanted to know and didn’t say this a negative way. He aggressively and confrontationally responded with “Are you having a bad day?” I responded with I’m having a great day, but you’re kind of being a jerk to me right now. He just stared at me for a few moments and I began to say “look I’m not trying to” and he interrupted and said “let’s just proceed.” After that I asked if my loyalty code scanned because the machine didn’t beep while my phone was underneath it and he said “yep.” However unless points take 24 hours to reflect on the app then it didn’t scan because I checked when I got home on the app and the order wasn’t in the history for points. After this I paid for the pizza and asked the other guy working if the guy I had talked to (Chris) was a manager (Chris left the area right after I paid) and he said yes. I told him I hoped I didn’t get him in trouble for the sauces thing and he said no no you’re fine and was super nice. I left after that point. My main issue here is the manager Chris. He should have handled the situation this way after I had told him I’ve never been charged for sauces as long as I’ve bought food from The Pizza Press: “So yes you may not have been charged for sauces in the past. However I’m a manager and we do indeed charge for sauces. I’ll give you the sauces for free this time but in the future it will be 60 cents per sauce.” If he had said that I would have been totally fine, but the fact that Chris was so rude, confrontational, and aggressive has me never wanting to go back to The Pizza Press ever again. My hands were visibly shaking after my conversation with Chris. Even while typing this I’m feeling very uneasy. Chris should not be a manager and should not be treating customers this way. I wouldn’t have written this if I hadn’t been truly affected by this experience. I’ve also noticed some other reviews here that mention Chris as a poor employee that doesn’t treat customers well, so this isn’t a one time thing that happened. This is a recurring issue that needs to be addressed. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of my previous great experiences as well as the great tasting pizza. Please feel free to reach out to me to remedy this situation or if you need more info. I am more than happy to discuss this...

Read moreMy family and I usually really love the quality of this pizza place. (Literally could come late night, and the staff and food were great.) But today that no longer will be a place we frequent. So you walk in and they make you use a kiosk to order, which is fine. (No more ordering while you watch them make the pizza). We ordered an XL, self published pizza, and we made it a combo with 3 wings and a drink.
The wings came the size were great nice and big but a little on the burned side. But we ate them and they weren’t too bad. But man when the pizza came the crust was burned like black. Half the pizza was very burnt on the bottom and the top. The ingredients like the onions and olives were charred. I also noticed they used like Canadian Bacon instead of regular bacon.
There was only one girl working and honestly I felt bad having to go and tell her the pizza was bad. She had giving me attitude for a side of ranch. Telling me I had to pay for it and I nicely told her I already did. If she would have just checked the order, she would have known I paid .75 cents for a side of ranch.
My husband and I just made the best of it, but we noted we wouldn’t be coming back. To spend $40 dollars on a thin crust burnt pizza wasn’t worth it. We had to eat what we could and toss out the burnt crust. Quality has really come down. The food was bad and the vibes even worse. (Wish I would have...
