Food: Been bringing my family to this joint for years. Food remains decent quality. The prices definitely went up. Understandable, since the economy is decimated by the criminals running the government (ABC department store on the 3rd floor, that sells Korean home goods, shuttered. Out of business.) But that's another topic. Let's stick to food review. Portion size seems to be unchanged. Got two orders of the big combo. Burger patty was tender and creamy, but might have too much filler mixed in. I could hardly taste the ground meat. The cutlet seemed dry and the cuts got thinner. The fish cutlet shrunk, as well, compared to a few years ago.
Service: I received extremely rude service from an older korean woman. I was simply asking for extra plates and utensils for a bigger order, and I got yelled at, telling me in broken english "ask for every thing at once! so i don't have to go up and down up and down!" That's a weird thing to complain about. I didn't setup your restaurant layout. Maybe you should improve utensil placement rather than yelling at your paying customers. I just laughed it off.
Atmosphere: Standard fare for food courts. A mix of families and older koreans...
Read moreI get that the portion is really big for the price but the quality just isn't there. I have had much better tonkatsu elsewhere. I was really disappointed with my dish.
I ordered the fried fish plate, which came with a few pieces of fish, rice, macaroni salad, and cabbage salad with thousand island. Since you can't go wrong with rice and cabbage, my grief is with the other items on the plate.
The macaroni salad was too sweet and didn't have good flavors. The fish, though, was the real disappointment. From the first look, I was amazed that I got such big pieces of fish. Once I bite into them, I quickly realized that it was a tiny piece of fish coated in a thick oily batter. I couldn't taste the fish. The tartar sauce that came with it also didn't taste like anything.
They have all sorts of hot sauces available. I ended up drowning my food with sriracha in order to eat part of it. I didn't finish half of the plate and didn't bother to take the rest home because it's not something I wanted...
Read moreA few weeks ago, I visited this restaurant and had a fully stamped loyalty card. The restaurant previously issued stamp cards, and I still had mine. Since I had collected all the required stamps, I was entitled to a free cutlet. However, when I presented my card to redeem the free meal, the staff member who assisted me displayed a terrible attitude.
As a loyal customer who has visited this establishment multiple times and spent a significant amount of money here, I expected to be treated with basic courtesy. The purpose of a loyalty program is to reward repeat customers, yet instead of appreciation, I was met with rudeness. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.
I strongly urge the management to retrain their employees on customer service and professionalism. Moving forward, I will be taking my business elsewhere, as no customer should be treated poorly for simply redeeming a reward they...
