Studio 2000 — Local services in Los Angeles

I went with both of my parents several months ago to take professional photos for my mother. The minute we walked in, I already had a bad feeling about it based on the photos displaced and tried to warn my mother, but she didn't listen and went with it, because she was apparently told by several people that this studio is good. I was right. The photos that were photoshopped were, no kidding and without a single drop of exaggeration, so horrible that I can't even recognize who the person is. It is NOT my mother. The person in the picture looks NOTHING like my mother. In fact, she looks monstrous, who had undergone several plastic surgeries, pretty bad ones, too, that failed. Again, there is not a single drop of exaggeration in this review. It was not cheap either and although they were not mean, they were also not the nicest people in the world. If it was up to me, I would never go here and Im just upset that my mother had wasted so much money and now she's looking to go somewhere else to take the photos all over again.

By the way, a message to the owner(s) if you see this: Please don't try to post another argument/review on the existing reviews, because I've seen several owners doing that, including your business. It really doesn't make you look good. In fact, they make you look very unprofessional and childish, which will backfire on you. You may not agree with what the customers are saying, but they, including myself, are leaving such reviews, because this is how they genuinely feel, not because they want to give you a hard time for nothing. I just came from Studio 2000 to take pictures for my green card photo. This was the 4th place I tried to get my green card photo. Unlike the other three studios I visited, Studio 2000 were very thorough and knew the rules needed for the green card photos (gov's rules) and kindly explained it to me. (At other places, they just took a very rough picture in 5 seconds without any explanation and didn't know any rules for green card photo that's it) This place expertly tried to relax my tense and stiff face. Thanks to them, I was able to take photos comfortably and achieved very satisfying and successful photos. Unlike other studios, They even took pictures of testers and divided into several shots from various angles to professionally take pictures. So impressed! I am a person who is very sensitive and picky about photography and has high standards. They made me look like the profile picture of some k-doll! Amazing! It was an all the more important photoshoot because it was a photo that will last a lifetime, and I am grateful to them for caring so much about me. Took passport photo for my baby for 35 dollars. They retouched my baby’s hair without telling me since they must follow the rule. Turns out other babies photos were accepted fine without retouching the hair. So I requested the original photos printed out and the owner said I need to pay 30 dollars again if I wanted the original photos to be printed even though I did not approve to retouch the photo earlier. Instead she offered paying half if I want the new photo. So I had to pay half and took the photo again. (Don’t know why reprint the photo is much higher than retaking..)

If the hair policy is so strict, they were supposed to advise me before the photo was taken so that I can style baby’s hair earlier. When I asked owner to reprint the photo without retouching, she was asking why am I trying to take her product for free.. and I wonder why she ruined my product without asking me…

Besides they said they must charge extra for baby photo but they did not even have baby chair nor rattles to distract baby.
