This has been one of my long-time favorite Korean style Chinese restaurants in LA K-Town. We always get 삼선짬뽕 as it is my husband's favorite, and I get 간짜장. This time he ordered 삼선짬뽕 as always, and we wanted to give a try to regular Jajang myeon (as this should be the basic of the basic). And we tried Sautéed Mixed seafood (팔보채). (FYI. I love their 돼지고기 탕수육, and it's my favorite here).
I would not reorder Jajang myeon if we go back. Their 간짜장 has been always good, but not Jajang myeon...It is okay...but not that good. 팔보채- We both loved it. (However, we asked for mustard sauce, but it was not a spicy mustard, but rather taste like a regular mustard sauce you would eat with burger or chicken nuggets). 삼선짬뽕 - I can give 1 out of 5 stars...The soup base does not even taste like any seafood flavor, but full of hot pepper oils....making the soup extra greasy.
I told the owner of the restaurant that the taste of it is a lot different from what we always get, as I want this restaurant to maintain the quality of their food and flavor. But the reaction I got was "Other customers complemented how tasty it is.." Oh well...everyone's taste is different, and I cannot force you to believe what I said...Believe what you want to believe and just hear what you want to hear. (I almost said why don't you try it now) lol. I would not even serve it to my family (even before selling...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointing service and food to say it lightly… Made us sit after an hour when there was little amounts of people. The food came out I would say suspiciously fast, the assorted seafood plate tasted and smelled old. The Kung Pao chicken was the worst chicken I have had in my life, and that is saying something. The dish which is meant to be spicy, savory, and a little sweet, ended up being a lukewarm mess. It had absolute zero flavor and spice it was like eating solid water. After we mentioned it to the server, she didn’t even apologize or compensate us for the dish (we had only a small bite). Afterward, we only left a small tip since we were dissatisfied with the service and food, but the server followed us and tried to confront us about the tip, which we explained calmly, why we didn’t tip a lot, before which she rudely spun around and with an attitude left back into the restaurant. I usually don’t write reviews, but this restaurant is truly on a different level and something needed to be written down. The one positive I would say is that the jjajang noodles were...
Read moreWaitresses are so outrageous... They are rude, impolite, unprofessionally educated. I've asked one waitress about the parking system at the k-plaza and she was so cranky about it. She even said that she already forgot what I've ordered in 30 seconds ago cause I've asked her the question. What a memory she got..... The other waitress didn't even respond when I asked for napkins. I've yelled 2 or 3 times to get her attention and she didn't even looked at me at all. I thought she was some kind of deaf but when the other customer called her, she responded right away. What a joke.... I guess the owner doesn't know how they behave front of customers. They should be retrained how to behave and serve...
