2023 Update - Downgraded to 1 star - Yoshinoya has “revamped” their menu and no longer offers cole slaw or roast potatoes. They’ve added Boba drinks + Udon noodles. The cole slaw while totally non-Japanese was my go-to vegetable side instead of the insipidly-bland steamed veggies.
My real issue is that I specifically asked for NO sauce for both of my proteins. Instead, I got a SOUP of a gooey, sweet, disgusting sauce over everything. WTFF Yoshinoya????? The Boba was less sweet than the sauce, that tells you everything. Absolutely the grossest fast food meal I’ve had in a very long time. It was truly disgusting.
2022 Why is the food always lukewarm or colder???? I order my food with no sauce or light sauce and this location (or the whole chain) apparently relies on spooning gallons of piping hot sauce to I guess heat the whole thing.
Speaking of gallons of sauce, for God’s sake, for take-out or drive-in orders, don’t put the combo beef in your basic styrofoam container which doesn’t seal whatsoever and therefore LEAKS all the meat juices outside the container and on EVERYTHING, the napkins, the condiments, the chopsticks. Always a major mess eating out at Yoshinoya.
Instead of new food items, please give us better packaging and hotter...
Read moreI have been going to this location for years, and there is a high employee turnout. Means the place has issue with maintaining and retaining their employees. Or the employees are not doing their tasks as required. Many times, the restaurant is understaffed, and the employees are overwhelmed with customers' orders and demands. It could be a stressful work environment for employees. Lately, in the last year, I have never been asked if I want condiments, I have to request my condiments. When I ask for more of certain condiments, the employees 🙄 look upset with an attitude. When I pick up, employees never say thank you. When i say thank you to the employees, never respond with gratitude always turn their face away from you. The quantity measurements are always different, sometimes fair and enough, and sometimes less than what it should be. Because they scramble orders, no enough time to serve the clients. And the cook changes very frequently. Generally, it is higher quality than the location at Pico Blvd and San Vicente. Needs some consistency and employee training and supervision. Above all, they need enough people...
Read moreThe food was decent, but it was such a poor experience because of the tall brunette female working the front counter, on Saturday 10/5 around 5:20 p.m. First of all she has a scowl on her face, like I interrupted her. She didn't have a name tag, and was wearing a sweat jacket half off of her shoulder, she looked very sloppy. When I asked for ice, because the machine wasn't producing ice, she asked, are you sure? So I had to go push it again just to prove to her, it was out. She argued with some fellow employee guy, and was just downright obnoxious. When I was getting ready to leave, she was taking the order from some guy, in the meantime she was talking in Spanish to the guy behind her. So unprofessional. I will never eat here again, if this is the type of person you put on your front lines. And I had to wait like almost 15 minutes from my food, there were no customers! Also, there's a weird bleachy handprint on my cup, why didn't she give me a...
