Recently just left here with a group of friends very unsatisfied. Worst experience ever in my life! We arrived at 9:30 p.m sat down immediately. Took 15 minutes for someone to arrive just to take our orders. One of the members at the table asked for everyone just to get waters that's all. Waiter asked if we were ready to order my friend simply said no. Next thing we know another 15 minutes has passed . No water or nothing has arrived. The Host had to stop what she was doing just to serve us . 5 mins passed a new waiter has arrived, new lady just started working there simply told us the other waiter said we had a attitude so she will be our New waiter. Fine that's okay, don't understand how we had a attitude when just simply asked for water nothing else. The new waiter takes our order. 30 minutes passed NO appetizers. We order BBQ boneless wings and 2 order of spinach dip. When the appetizers finally arrived only two were brought out had to wait 10 extra minutes for a appetizer of spinach dip to come out so unacceptable. My friend spoke with the manager because we didn't like the fact appetizers took so long and we didn't want our food to come out right behind it, we wanted to sit and enjoy our meal not be rushed. he told us that he"ll get on it and try his best to get our food in a timely manner. FOOD FINALLY COMES. Everything was wrong. 2 of my friends ordered chicken tenders with fries they brought out 2 grilled chicken plates . My friend ordered a steak with baked potato, her food came out steak and broccoli, my other friend ordered steak and fully loaded mash which was wrong, then me of course order the salmon sauce on the side with sweet potatoe fries they brought out salmon and fully loaded mash potatoes. At this point we have had it it was now 11:30 sat there all that time hungry to leave unsatisfied. The manager and our waiter came over she apologized cause she put in grilled chicken instead of chicken tenders but what about everything else? The manager was no help, he seemed like he didn't care . My friends and I just simply had to walk out at this point. We waisted time just to leave hungry. All of us love apple bees but not this one, we will never return to this...

I ordered an appetizer and the 12oz ribeye with sauteed mushrooms at an extra charge. Service was fast and friendly...
I get home and don't have mushrooms. I have onions. Yuck! I eat onions, but not when I'm craving mushrooms with my steak. I called and the young lady offered to give them to me if I immediately returned. It would have taken me 20 to 30 minutes to return, get the mushrooms, and return home with them. My steak would have been cold. Is a $30 steak any good microwaved???
I asked to speak with the manager. I was put on hold. The young lady came back and stated she put my name in the system to receive free mushrooms next time I come.
What if I never return? Do I lose the mushrooms I paid for??? If I return, will I only get the mushrooms I paid for? The young lady said "yes". So... I have to make a special trip to Applebee's another day, to only pick up the mushrooms I paid for and wanted tonight. Hmm... Or maybe I should just spend another $50 and get my mushrooms after I spend more money, right???
This is NOT a good way to appease an unhappy customer. Hopefully, the owner (or real manager) will see this and contact me with something better than, "Please make a special trip, stop by and pickup the mushrooms you paid for and we owe you anytime! Or come spend more money and get the mushrooms you paid for with your next order." Ridiculous!
I was in management before, and I always tried to make my customers happy and always keep them happy. This isn't a good look Applebee's! What happened to making up for your mistakes??? It's now on me to make a special trip to pick up mushrooms, huh? If that's the best you can do to try to keep me happy and get my return business - maybe you need the mushrooms more...
Read moreLet’s talk about my to go food order experience I had at this Applebees 1220 S Clearview Parkway Harahan, LA. I placed my order online around 8:47. Pickup time was at 9:07. I got there around 9:40-9:45
I go in & I said to the lady Ambrine S (at least that’s the name on the To Go reciept) in the To Go section and I said “I’m here to pick up my order”. This lady is heavy set with some kind of gold/blonde hair. While she was putting another to go order on the shelf, She then proceeds to tell me with an attitude “You can’t pick it up until I put it on the shelf”…and then walks off..Well Duh! But I figured since my pickup time was 9:07 and I got there around 9:40-9:45 the food shoulda BEEN ready.
After that, she came back and I said “well the pickup time said 9:07”…She then says with another sarcastic attitude “That’s just an estinate”…Again, Well DUH that’s just an estimate. But pickup time is at 9:07 and its 9:40 so you mean to tell me almost 30 minutes past pickup my food still not ready…Mind you this is not 30 minutes past when the order was placed (because that’s almost an hour)
So THEN she goes into a room where I can see more to go orders & looks at a bag & ask for my name..& then give me the order and tells me she tried to call me. Lady I have NO miss call from Applebees.
Please train your employees on better customer service because I was nice to that lady when I walked in saying I had to go order.
I dont work in fast food but I’m pretty sure that if someone walks in saying their picking up a to go order, the FIRST thing outta your mouth should be “What’s the name”. And then the employee check the name & see if the order is ready. Instead this lady proceeded with and attitude saying “You can’t pick it until I put it out” ..WHOLE time the order was sitting righ there...
