Chung King Palace — Restaurant in Louisville

Wanted a quick bite to eat for lunch and Googled the closest Chinese restaurant. Ordered shrimp and broccoli w/white rice, over the phone. It came up to nine twenty. I walked in and the waitress was so nice. The ladies restroom was a bit aged but EXTRA clean. The food came out quickly, I looked at it and already knew it wasn’t what I expected. I got back to my office and it tasted and smelled awful. The egg roll was good but it’s a BIG “NO” for me. First and last time ordering. I have been going to this place for 23 yrs. I'm not a native to Louisville, but my son was a patient at Kosiars. And by default, this place has been my favorite by far for all these years. They have never forgotten us either after all this time. I buy in bulk whenever I have the chance to go, freeze it, and it's always as if it's made to order. Highly recommended there's nothing I haven't had that was fantastic. Everything from classics like crabragoons, pepper steak, to main dishes too.

went there about 4pm January 14. the place was freezing inside. i was with others. they wanted to just eat and go. i sat there eating with my coat, scarf, and hat on. my food was cold before i could finish, and later i got a bad cold from sitting in the freezing place. the pineapple chicken used cheap pineapple chunks from a can, the water chest nuts were from a can, and the dish had little flavor. i see where the name comes from- chun king canned chinese food. actually Le Choy is better. and the place was truly freezing inside. never again. i could have eaten better food in new albany at a warm place. it might be ok during lunch time during the week, but it was awful...
