Five Guys — Restaurant in Louisville

On 3/23/23 I placed an order to be picked up around 11:30am. When I arrived, I was told it would be a few minutes on the fries. Admittedly, I wasn’t having a great day, and I didn’t acknowledge this statement, other than to take a step away to wait. After barely a moment, I decided to go to the restroom to wash my hands. When I returned, I waited briefly before an older (than the guy on fries) man asked if I was Amanda, then handed me my order that had been waiting on me. When I got home I discovered oil soaking through the bag of food, then saw that I had a cup full of uncooked fries and oil in the bag with my burger. Thankfully, I was able to throw the fries into my air fryer, so that I was able to enjoy the food I had paid for. However, the behavior of the young man on fries is honestly disturbing. So, to him I say: Women do not owe you any particular behavior, and your desire to punish a woman for behavior you do not like is alarming. Please, seek therapy before you hurt someone. Sabotaging someone’s food because they didn’t acknowledge you is a dangerous first step that you’ve already...

Food and service were excellent. I had a lettuce wrapped bacon cheeseburger. Kids really enjoyed their milk shakes. Always a great experience for the family. Keep up the excellent work.

Honestly, my only complaint has nothing to do with Five Guys. There was a man in there walking around with a Tablet doing an inspection (did not appear to be health department). I could not make out the name of the company he worked for, but, I believe it started with an "S". While performing his inspection I observed him reach into a box of peanuts, roll a trash can away from the wall, touch all the high chairs, walk outside touching the door handles, then back in to inspect the kitchen (all without washing or sanitizing his hands). There was another occasion he walked outside to the outdoor seating area and allowed the door to slam in a customer's face who had a handful of food and drinks. Again, this has no reflection on Five Guys, but, perhaps the owner could get this feedback to the inspection company that was on-site...

Just left 5guys with Hubby to grab a late bite to eat, We literally arrived like 7 mins before closing. (You know normally when customers come in LAST minute at a restaurant, sometimes the employees get an attitude or become a bit rude because their trying to get out & get home…) However, that wasn’t the case here, as soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with smiles from all the staff! They were VERY polite & kind, & was fixing our order while some were cleaning the place VERY WELL. Its EXTREMELY CLEAN in there, (I’ve never been in there & it wasn’t..) The drink machines were being thoroughly wiped down & cleaned, the floors, etc. I also love the fact that there’s employees of ALL race that work there, & they were all very friendly with each other & worked GREAT as a team.
