Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant after getting off at work myself at a restaurant serving all day as I do as a second job on the weekends I begged for my family to please go out to eat at Longhorns being that that is literally my favorite restaurant I took a chance tonight and went to Outerloop instead of Hurstbourne because it was closer to where we were at after waiting 20 minutes which the wait was fine host were nice. They finally sat us Server comes up to the table. Her name was Kayla worst server I’ve ever experienced and being a server myself, I’m always lenient over the fact that people get busy things like that so I try not to be that person but when you are a server yourself and you have the worst service ever & when you’re paying an $80 bill it’s hard to let go! she comes to the table ask us what we want to drink takes forever to bring the drinks then brings bread without plates. Was ready to order for over 10 minutes while waiting on her to come back to the table. She does not listen to her guest at all, When you’re ordering food I told her multiple times a plain kids burger with just ketchup and pickles at least three times for her to turn around and ask is American cheese OK ? Like what? then we sit in our food takes over 45 minutes. We had to ask her to please check on our food when she simply says oh our ticket times are running a little late tonight. When she should had been the one to acknowledge that our food had taken forever. Then while waiting on our food, we also had to sit without our drinks being refilled numerous times then she brings tea by to refill our drinks when my child had Coke, she tried to put it in there again, not listening to her paying attention to her guest. Then the food comes out. The food is all wrong. Didn’t have everything it was supposed to have on it. My husband ordered a $30 T-bone and ordered it medium Which we all know. Should there be red in it yes but what does he get? He gets a well done steak. I would have definitely sent that steak back but instead he didn’t wanna wait another 45 minutes on a steak as we were starving after already being there for over an hour. so he just ate it. We let the server know & even tell her he doesn’t want to send it back bc it took so long. She just walks away. Had there been a manager visible at all in the entire restaurant for an over an hour that we sat there or a manager who actually did table touches then we would’ve been able to speak to a manager and let them know how horrible the service and the food was. After we get our food, We had a wait for her to come back forever so we can get A1 for my older child’s steak. She finally brings, not once but twice brings A1 to the table 🤦🏻♀️ then I asked her about the fruit for my kids side. When I asked about what fruit it was at ordering, she tells me oranges & grapes. I said well we will take the oranges. She brings out grapes. Had to wait another 10 minutes for her to come back to the table to ask her about the oranges only for her to say oh they must’ve ran out. I will never come back to this location ever! You all should be a lot more professional, your server should definitely be on it and listen to their customers and when they realize that the food has taken way too long in the kitchen or that half the food came out wrong and you know yourself your service is horrible. You should’ve taken it upon yourself to go have a manager come to our table so yet we paid $80 for the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant Will never come back here again. Shame on the managers also who never were seen throughout the restaurant. You all weren’t even that busy! Read moreOrdered a 6 oz steak and rib combo with baked potato butter only ( steak well done ) husband got chopped steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes the only thing that was hot was the his mashed potatoes! My steak was not well done ! Still had pink yuck ! And was cold ! The Ribs was mostly fat had no meat and was cold to the touch wasn't even warm ! And I am very disappointed to say that y baked potato wasn't even warm enough to melt the butter which is sad . I've gotten baked potatoes from Wendy's before and Arby's when they had them that was hotter where I could not hold them after I got them home from picking them up from the drive thru And we waited after ordering at least 45 minutes to an hour for our food Our waitress was very nice and very prompt with response to our situation However the only thing that the manager did after I return Ed my food and refused anything else I didn't want to keep my husband waiting any longer for me to get another order after he would have been done eating We would be waiting again for how who knows how long it would take to get me anything again. But the manager told our waitress to take my order off the ticket which should have been since I did not get to eat it any way !! GOLLY THANKS FOR THAT !!! But the manager never made an appearance to our table I guess the customers orders that are messed up my no fault of the server's don't merrit any attention by manager! Just a server that is feeling bad because the back and the cooks messed things up and we know that she's not the one that is cooking and has done what she can do to do to fix the problem the manager any other place I ever had a problem at has always made time to go to who ever it is an make an appearance and see if there was anything they could do for them to make sure they look left at least with a decent experience! I left still hungry 😣 an like I didn't matter to them if I give a good comment about my experience there or not This Longhorns is the one by the Jefferson Mall in Louisville KY and it was around 3:00 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon October 20th. Read moreWell this was my first time at this location, and let me tell you, the server was just terrible, the food I ordered was mediocre. I don’t know who the chef was tonight, but I’ll tell you this, they don’t know how to cook streak, I asked for my steak to be well done, the server bought me medium well done, and to top it off I had ordered seasoned fries to go with it, but they were soggy, because who ever cooked the steak did not drain the juices off the steak & had put that on top of my fries, which left them soaking wet and soggy.
Then our server started out treating us okay, but all of a sudden she was just ignoring me and my friends, she never came back to the table to check on us as far as asking if we needed anything else, or even if we might want a refill on our drinks. SHE WAS AWFUL!!! After they bought the steak out to me with my soggy fries, I cut into it and asked to speak with the manager to complain, she came over to our table, and I told her, that my steak was not right & that my fries were soggy.
She offered to have another one bought out to me, and I’m gonna say this, I told her that I really wasn’t sure if I wanted another replacement because I know what they do in these restaurant kitchens if somebody complains about their food, and that I don’t trust them not to do something to my food, of course she said that they don’t do that at their restaurant, but how would she know because she’s not back there when the food is being cooked.
Nevertheless, I went ahead and let her get me another order, and this time the steak was right but the fries still were a little soggy, what they should of done was put them on a separate plate, that would of been the logical thing to do, but that would of been too RIGHT!!! I don’t think I will patronize this location ever again. The only positive thing tonight was that they took my order off our bill, which was what they should have done anyway to compensate me & my friends for the way our server...
