We met here to celebrate a birthday, we had ten people in our party. The first few people of our party arrived around 5:15 to put our name on the wait, they quoted us 30 minutes. The rest of our party arrived a few minutes later and joined in the lobby to wait. Around 5:50, we checked on our status. We were told they were "waiting on large parties to leave." At 6:10, we checked again and was told "we're setting your table up now." Around 6:15, we checked again and they said "we're cleaning your table off now, give us time to set it up." Totally contradicting to the last time we checked. As we were waiting, we witnessed another large party being sat as well as multiple parties of 4 and 6 after waiting 20 minutes or so. Are you telling me they couldnt push two smaller tables together to accomodate our party of 10 in a more timely matter? Around 6:20, a member of our party spoke with a manager to express our frustration since we've been waiting twice as long as what they quoted us and no one can give us a straight answer to the status of our table. They sat us right away this time. The manger made excuses of how "they're busy" and "we're working as fast as we can to accommodate everyone." After sitting at the table, we we're greeted immediately and drink orders were taken. They brought our drinks within 5-7 minutes after and disappeared. They didn't ask if we were ready to order (we were), or say thed be right back. They just walked away super fast! Around 7:00, we finally got to place our orders. Luckily they brought the soups and salads out right after, since we were all very hungry by this point. This is by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at any restaurant. There is no reason we should still be at this restaurant at 7:30 now waiting to receive our food! DON'T COME TO THIS OLIVE GARDEN (outer loop, Louisville, KY)! I've worked in restaurants for over 10 years and have never witnessed such unorganization and lack of communication. Not to mention total disregard for how your guests are feeling. It's like they didn't see any wrong doing in what they did during our wait time, and didn't even apologize for any inconveniences or confusion, or offer an appetizer or dessert or anything to try to make up for our wait. They are lucky we stayed, but we will not be coming back to this location. This experience has ruined our views of Olive Garden, and we may not even return to any Olive...
Read moreI usually never leave reviews or complain in general, but this had to have been the worst experience of my life at a restaurant. I understand that it was New Years Eve and yes it was busy; however, that does not mean my order should be wrong, ungodly wait times to get drinks, or being ignored. We got there at 5:30pm and we’re expecting to wait a decent amount of time to get a table because it was busy (that’s no a problem). After being greeted we were told it was about a 20-25 minute wait, however we got a table almost immediately. After waiting until 5:55pm, another waitress (not in the Section) noticed we hadn’t had our drinks and still no waiter, so she offered to get our drinks and find our waiter. I didn’t want to make a scene, because, once again, it was busy and maybe they were having a hard time keeping up. The waiter finally came out, but with no appology. He took our order where we asked for different dressing for the salad on the side and 2 Chicken Alfredo meals, but while walking away said “I did ask you if you wanted salad or soup, right?” As if we didn’t just have a conversation and modifications to the salad . At 6:30, we finally received our salad, but the dressing was on the salad. Politely I asked, once again, for ranch and that i would just mix the dressings. At 6:40 he came back without the ranch to see if we needed anything, so I once again asked for ranch (3rd time!). After about another 20 minutes (and every other table getting served before us even after sitting down after us), our waiter checked on our food and said “just another few minutes”, although it had already been an hour since we placed the order. Then we received our order and it was great, but the experience of this waiter ultimately ruined the meal. We had issues with the check and the waiter bringing out incorrect change. Needless to say we didn’t leave until 7:35pm. I have never not left a tip, regardless of the service, but this was completely uncalled for. I have been to this location off of the Outer Loop many times and had no issues, but this time had me and my guest frustrated and very upset. I wish i would have spoke up at the restraunt, but it was chaotic and I just wanted to leave. I will return, as I do love Olive Garden. I just hope next time they pay attention to details and engage with the customer instead of...
Read moreI had a frustrating experience when picking up my to go order today. I got the soup, salad and breadsticks lunch order. When I got home I realized the breadsticks were not in the bag. I then called the restaurant to verify if the order came with breadsticks because this was my first time getting an order to go. I was told that the order should have came with breadsticks and that the manager spoke to the employee that served me my meal and the employee stated that she thoroughly went through my bag in front of me and that there were breadsticks. This was not the truth. She handed me the bag and had me sign a copy of the receipt. Neither her nor me went through the bag, though in hindsight I should’ve checked the bag before I left the parking lot, that is my fault. Though, in this survey the expectation is that the employee thoroughly go through the bag in front of you. But again, this did not happen. All I asked for was for a small credit to my account to what the breadsticks would have cost me. Due to this employee being dishonest it made me look like I was trying to get a freebie and that I truly had received my breadsticks. In all reality I would’ve gladly went back to get my bread sticks if I didn’t live 25 minutes away. I then told the manager that at this point it’s not even about a credit to my account but that an employee was dishonest which made me look like I was lying. The manager sent a credit to my email but I highly doubt I would even use it. This was a terrible experience.. I feel disrespected because the manager took the employees word and assumed that I was calling to get an entitled credit based on a lie and I wasn’t.. I refused to even take a credit but it was sent anyways. Who would lie about not getting breadsticks just to get a $2 credit, if that? I’m a registered nurse, I make decent money.. I didn’t want a free meal out of this. The principal of the matter was that I was as suppose to get a part of the meal that I didn’t receive. The customers word and satisfaction should come first. The manager was very fast talking and I couldn’t get a word in for her to even hear me out that I no longer wanted a credit and that the employee she spoke with was being extremely dishonest. This was an integrity issue, not a customer calling to get a freebie issue. I will not be returning to this...
