McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Louisville

OMITSIAnBI stop here regularly during trips to Louisville. I've been happy with my experiences here. This trip was no exception. I ordered a pick two with a salad and sandwich. It took a while but then a server brought me a plate...no that's not what I ordered. Several minutes later still no food. I noticed that multiple people who'd been behind me in line had their food. I asked the server to check on it for me. He did not return but a female manager did and she explained my food had been delivered to another table. She said the kitchen was making my food and could she get me a refill on my drink? Sure. Sweet tea. She brought back the drink...and it was unsweet tea...she came back by and I asked her what the drink was. Unsweet tea. I asked her to replace it with Sweet tea which she did with a smile. My food arrived and it was good. She again came back to check on me to make sure it was satisfactory. I overheard another conversation this manager had with another customer where there was a misunderstanding, she handled that situation as well. Mistakes get made. We're all human. The real gift is in how you recover...and this young female...

This experience was horrendous. I arrived and the lady at the counter saw me approach and turned around doing nothing. I was on my way to the restroom and returned back where she saw me approach then walks again inside the double doors. She mumbled something then walked away again and briefly chatted with her coworker. I stood looking around trying to figure out what was happening, so I asked what I waiting for. That is when she said it in a very cold tone I said how can I help you. I let her know I did not hear her and she repeated it again. I advised her she should be a lot nicer and not walk off when customers approach. Her response was she needed a drink of water. I asked for manager who seemed less than concerned and he said would talk to her. I asked was he not accustom to certain people coming in here. I got a weird vibe in this place and and did not eat at the restaurant. This happen about 3pm on 8/16/21 where they had about 3 customers in the entire restaurant. They don't have room to be less than courteous. I know what this was about and could read...

Ordered curbside 1.25 hours before they closed and was told it would be ready 30 minutes before they closed. Called and parked at curbside pickup to let them know I was there. I was told they would bring it out when the food was ready. Thirty minutes later I walked in only to find it had been sitting there the entire time. The store was not busy for the 45 minutes I was in the curbside spot waiting. Do not order "curbside." I would not recommend this location. FOLLOW UP: Ordered the "Spud Max Family Meal" which states the toppings come on the SIDE. Got home with the meal to find each potato had every topping already added and NOT ON THE SIDE! Not only was the meal cold from the wait previously mentioned above, it was not prepared per company website. Which was an extra joy given how slow the business was while I waited. The staff is apparently unfamiliar with their own menu and blatantly unconcerned with the quality of their customer service. Extremely disappointed with overall experience. Plenty of other quality restaurants located nearby that I would definitely...
