Pizza Donisi — Restaurant in Louisville

About two - three years ago, I use to like this place because of their vegan options and I’m not even vegan. Now, things have changed drastically. The customer service is completely garbage. You can tell the food is now being carelessly made. Look at all the reviews from 1 year ago to now. Str8 trash. I ordered pick up for door dash and arrived when the app said to. I clearly knew that the food probably wasn’t ready yet and had no problem waiting. Quality food takes quality time right. So the guy tells me it’ll be another fifteen to twenty minutes. I say no problem and return to my car to wait. There was a woman in the back making pizzas but she was slamming things and complaining. I ignored it completely. I returned twenty five minutes later to check on my order. There was a line, so I waited my turn. During my time in line, myself and the other customers could hear this woman complaining about DoorDash customers ordering food. And how she feels rushed with everyone standing there watching her and etc. She continued this rant the whole time and it got more intense as I was getting close to the counter. I was able to figure out I was the only DoorDash order until a DoorDash driver arrived behind me to pick up a delivery order. This lady was slamming things and mad about having to make pizza. I addressed the situation with the Man working the front register because I didn’t do anything but order pizza and PATIENTLY wait with not one ounce of complaint about anything. This lady came to the register and started addressing me like this is her restaurant wanting me to understand her position and how she feels. Why do I need to do this? I’m here because I ordered pizza. That’s it. Not to fix the problems she has with DoorDash or her job. The manager/owner’s daughter wasn’t any help and said she had her employee’s back because she had a long day.🤷🏿 Then she starts telling me about how they’ve gotta deal with drunk people from the bar next door and how everyone complains about the time of the service. The whole time I still didn’t understand how that was my problem and why I had to receive the horrible customer service because of it. I guess I’ve gotta find another vegan pizza spot. It’s sad because under the right management, this place has some potential. I almost forgot. I looked at my order and had 4 wings. I paid $12 for 4 wings. Not whole wings. Wing...

I’m going to be one of “those” people who say they never leave reviews but felt compelled to after whatever happened. Well...whatever happened. And it wasn’t good. I walked into Pizza Donisi on a Friday night. Not too busy, and the kid working the counter/food station seemed not too bothered by me ordering. Good start, right? I went back to pick up my pie and the kid was cursing about the next customers who were about to walk in. Besides some random dude hanging out behind the counter who kept passing out while standing up...nice touch... it was not a pleasant experience. I open up my box that contained an $18 14” pizza and it is really good. I love their pizza. Honestly. But come on! Hire some friendly people that want to work! I understand trying to be cool or hipster or edgy or blah blah blah when you are beside Mag Bar. Don’t. Care. I’m paying A LOT of money for the food, please treat me and other customers with respect....

Pizza is delicious! Chris is amazing and an Artist I went last night to get an order of pizza and he was by himself while the DoorDash orders kept coming and the people were not giving him a chance to breathe while he was making the orders taking phone calls taking walk in orders and practically running the entire place by himself. With all this craziness going on Chris was playing great music (if you like rock) and making delicious food the wait time flew by like a breeze yes there was a wait … ofc there was he was by himself ! But as everything worth while it was absolutely worth the wait ! Both the pizza and the sandwich were amazing! shout out to Chris and the owners really need to work on not having their employees there by themselves it’s not fair to them…. But overall I would recommend the place if you love...
