I love poke, so I was excited to eat here when I was in Louisville. I am not one to normally complain or leave bad reviews, but this was very bad, no matter how much I tried to like it. The rice was cold and the tuna luke warm. My tuna poke was also fairly spicy, which makes me think they gave me the spicy tuna even though I ordered the regular (mind you I was the only costumer there at around lunch time on a week day). The price was too high for a very small portion of low quality ingredients that were as far away from fresh as possible, and the worst was the tuna, which had a very intense metallic flavor that stayed in my mouth for hours and made me sick. It tasted kind of like they opened a can of tuna and left it open with its contents still in it in the fridge for a week before serving....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'll blame the empty bowl on shudder lag. Or well maybe I just ate it too quick to realize I wanted to share with the world how good this place is. I came here on the way to the skate park and was craving something good but not heavy. This fits the ticket well and the food came out fast and fresh. Many items to choose from. From your base such as type of rice or spring mix, to your proteins which you have 12 to choose from with only one upcharge on your choices then you have a full on buffet worth of toppings to choose from and lastly you can sauce it down with 8 sauces to choose from. The place is clean and has parking near the entrance. Miso soup is also made here. Will need to try that on another visit....

I had a hibatchi bowl thatās had beef, shrimp and chicken along with a host of veggies and fried rice. I could barely eat all the food but wasted nothingš My wife created her own with chicken and spicy crab which was amazing with brown rice. The place is small inside with only a couple tables but I believe it was a younger owner really gave us excellent food as well as he was so kind. If youāre ever in Louisville itās right down the street from The Galt Hotel, right downtown. It was our first trip to Louisville and I will def be making a visit to Pokehana again soon! Ohhh , I almost forgot, the house sauce...
