I think this is a great concept. I booked a session with my mom and sister as a Motherâs Day gift and was very excited to check it out. Iâm sure Motherâs Day was a busy weekend and I know they are fairly new and are probably still working out the kinks, but the environment was fairly chaotic and the entire process seemed extremely unorganized. If you have sensory sensitivities at all this is not the place for you. The space is very open and sound is exaggerated. We couldnât hear each other talk or anything our server was telling us. I booked a check in time of 3:30. We arrived at 3:28 and waited at the check in area for a bit. Once they sat us down we waited quite a while for someone to come help us or give us any direction, take our craft, and drink order. This was completely understandable given how busy they were. My issue came with the fact that we did not receive our craft supplies till over an hour after our check in time, but when I tried to order a round of drinks a little after 6:00 I was told we were technically supposed to be out by 6:00. My mother was just painting her craft (she had to wait an hour for cement to dry). I understand you need to set a time limit. But that needs to be communicated more effectively. I even called the morning to check our time, because my email stated a different time than I thought I booked, and was told as long as you are here by 5- you will be fine; they said nothing about a firm end time. We were also given zero verbal instructions or tips on the the crafts. Just given a bucket with supplies and written instructions. So we made some mistakes and it took longer us longer than what they say it should. Also, I ruined my jeans with dye. Totally my fault. But I noticed when I went to the bathroom they had aprons. They were blocked from my view where I was sitting. It would have been nice to have been offered one- or made aware that was an option. I had pre- Paid for a charcuterie tray when I booked. But it didnât come out till I finally was able to track down a staff member and inquire on the issue two hours after we arrived. Again, it was very busy- so all these mishaps are understandable- but it made for a disappointing experience. About half way through our session they had a staff change- and the staff that handled the end of our session were more attentive and helpful. But I donât think they were made aware of how late we were given our tools- and if they had maybe they would have been more relaxed on the timing.
So the concept is great- but they definitely need a more organized system. If you are not extremely crafty this is not for you- since you really get zero instructions or help from staff. The environment is very loud and you share tables with other parties- so if you are looking for something relaxing or quality time to chat with friends- this is not the place for it.
I would try this again much later down the line in hopes they have improved- and would stick to a week day so it would...
Read moreFor the most part the overall experience was nice. I enjoyed a night of crafting with friends, and while yes you can probably do it at home for cheaper youâre paying for an experience so I was comfortable paying the prices. However, that being said, the first staff member (woman with long green hair) we had made our first half of the evening not that enjoyable. She was quite rude and seemed annoyed by anything we asked. We tried to ask for her recommendation on which craft or even what colors were popular for different paintings/embroidery crafts or even simply what colors were available and were met with a âjust chose from the rainbowâ. 3/5 of us chose the embroidery and we each received different items in our craft buckets, and one didnât receive any of her string. And then we never saw her again.
The second staff member (short dark hair) made the world of difference. Was kind, patient and even allowed us to finish after our time was up. They helped get the missing items we didnât receive in our craft bucket and checked in periodically for anything needed. Would love to go back and get the full experience with...
Read moreWe were so very disappointed with our experience.I will preface by saying we visited during the NuLu Jingle Fest, however with a reservation you would have thought all would be good. We were so excited to make this part of our annual girls weekend. We made reservations early since we were a group of 8. We were there on time, but yet waited an hour before we were given our supplies. We ordered drinks that came at odd, long intervals. Our server said she was helping our table yet we saw her only once to bring supplies. When we discovered we were missing supplies we had to chase folks down to get what we needed. We were disappointed that people continued to pour in throughout what we thought was a reservations only session. And after 3 hours several of us didnât even finish our project. We paid between $30-$60 each for projects. While I would like to be able to say we would try again, I seriously doubt I will be able to convince anyone in our group to...
