Brew’d Awakening is everything you’d expect and more from a local, well run café. I have been going here for years and their coffee is high quality, the ambiance is perfect, and the food is always too good to regret. The last time I went (pictured in the photos) I got my classic: an iced mocha and a breakfast sandwich. The thing I appreciate the most is that they really put effort into the small details of this place. They use compostable and recyclable packaging. They are pet friendly, with water bows and dog treats available. Every time I see the guy who runs the place there, he’s at the register or greeting customers like he’s known them for years. 10/10 I would say stop here if you’re visiting Lowell or start going regularly if you’re from here and don’t.

I’ve been coming here pretty regularly for about 1.5 years. I’m sad to be giving this review. Food and coffee are fine. It could sometimes be a miss with the coffee. But the customer service has come to a point that has made me feel uncomfortable to come in and should be unacceptable in any customer service based business. Firstly, they got my order wrong (which is okay, it happens). As I was communicating with the barista, a platinum blonde barista pushed 2 hot coffees and it spilled over the countertop. I tried to save it but it was too late. The freshly made hot coffee spilled over my hand and burned. She did not apologize. She didn’t say a word. A kind man came over and offered to help clean up. She didn’t respond to him. The barista I was communicating with made my coffee but it was still wrong (and tasted bad). I kindly asked if she could correct it again, which she did. I said “thanks” and she said “yeah”. A lot happened all at once, so I’m sure they were upset, which I understand. But this did not just affect me and my burned hand (which they didn’t apologize for) - it affected other individuals in the coffee shop. I hope that they take this as constructive criticism - to improve their customer service and not as a jab at their business. I’ve been a long supporter of Brew’d Awakening and introduced my friends to this location. However, after today I am disappointed in their customer service.

It’s a cute little place. They do server amazing coffee and breakfast wraps. During summers they also have outdoor seating. If you are working from home and would like to have some change in ambience, then this is the place. There are similar cafes in and around the lowell downtown area. They only have a street parking, it could get hard to find a spot over the weekend. There is a garage which could be used, they charge around $1-1.5/hr.

I LOVED this place. Wish it was my local coffee shop. The seasonal strawberry cheesecake matcha was to die for. I got it with oat milk and no cold foam to be dairy-free. They accidentally made it a coffee latte at first and they gave that to me as well. Equally as yummy. It was a nice day so they had the door open and it was so airy and lovely. The perfect place to work and enjoy a treat.
