We bought an adjustable base and mattress from this store. The base has adjustable height capability and it was installed at its highest level. When the bed and mattress were delivered the crew only asked if it was in the correct room placement and whether we had any question about how to operate the remote. We signed off on the delivery based on those questions. A few days later, after using the bed, my husband hurt his back upon getting up from it because it was set too high and he pulled a muscle getting off the bed. We called the store and spoke with Gerry about getting someone to come out and adjust the base properly as the bed has a heavy frame and it would be unsafe for either me or my husband to try to lift. Gerry said he called management and they would not come out again to adjust the bed properly. He suggested that we should tip the bed on its side and remove the leg parts. This frame is heavy and with my husband already having hurt his back as a result of getting off the bed, I fear that we could both be injured doing this when it should have been done properly in the first place by the delivery crew. I think Mattress Warehouse should have some concern about the wellbeing of a customer that the customer not face possible injury as a result of their negligence in not installing the bed properly. Apparently they do not care as Gerry said he spoke with 'management' and they will not send anyone out again to fix the problem. Will definitely not buy there again nor recommend this store to anyone.
I am amending my review a day after posting, I did receive a follow-up call from Alexis of the Harleysville store today. Alexis graciously offered to come over with a helper to fix the problem for us. I appreciate the offer however after Jerry's firm responses that management would not take care of the problem, we resolved by having our son come up from Philly and help us with it. Thank you Alexis....I will reach out directly to you...
Read moreWe bought a new mattress and floor model adjustable base in August along with a second bed set for our Daughter. Alexis, the sales manager, was wonderful. The base controls were bad immediately and after some yelling and screaming, we were able to get that repaired. After 30 days of sleeping on the mattress, we chose to use our option to exchange it because it was not comfortable. The exchange seemed to go well and we chose another mattress which was very soft in the showroom. We paid extra for the new mattress and their exchange fees. We were told we could schedule delivery after the exchange was approved by Corporate which would take about a week. Three weeks later, we hadnât been called so I called them. Thatâs when all hell broke loose. They had gotten approval 2 weeks before I called and they had forgotten to call us. I was not happy and instead of having it delivered the next day, I had to get another manager on the phone and argue with them about delivery. We had to wait an additional 2 days for delivery and we knew that night that that the mattress was definitely not like the one in the showroom. I was so upset but my Husband said it wasnât worth arguing over and we would try it to see if it softened up. Well, it hasnât and we wake up every morning sore in one place or another. We HATE this mattress and will never buy from Mattress Warehouse again. BEWARE whatâs delivered will most likely not be what you were expecting!! We are more than...
Read moreNeeded to replace my mattress that I had purchased from a well known furniture store. The mattress was expensive and was only a few years old but it sagged and the springs were bad. I woke up with hip and back pain every morning. I had purchased a mattress for my son from Mattress Warehouse so I went to the store in Harleysville. Gina had had me try the sleep technology bed that generated what type of mattress would be the best fit for my sleeping needs. Gina had me try the different mattresses, not based on price, but based on what would give give me the best quality sleep. She did not rush me or try to sell me an expensive mattress. During our conversation, I mentioned the mattress I had bought for my son a few years ago had a slight dip at the edge of the mattress, she looked it up and said it shouldn't do that, and that if there was something wrong with the mattress they would replace it. She gave me a number for a company they use called Bed Check that came out to look at his mattress, and within a few days I recieved an email that Mattress Warehouse would credit me for replacement of the mattress. Matressess can be expensive, so not only is it a credit to the company, but a credit to the employees that they stand behind their products. Because mattresses can be expensive, if you want peace of mind that you will get the best mattress for a great nights sleep and a guaranty that they stand behind their products, I wouldn't go anywhere else....
