Based on 1 slice in one visit passing through- Solid joint for decent NYC style slices (by NYC standards). It would be middling in NYC, which is worth 5 stars in Texas, let alone a smaller city. I asked if the bottom surface is a little crispy, and they said they could do that, and they did without burning the top, which gave it a good structure and texture and it didn't make it particularly hard or too tough, though there was a bit of extra dryness toward the wide end. The cheese coverage was a little uneven, and the cheese flavor was a bit extra salty/savory/aged like there's some parmesan in there, while I'd prefer it leaned more in the milder, creamy mozz direction; however the cheese texture is not dry or plasticky, nor excessively oily. The crust toward the point was a bit thinner than ideal so you lose a bit of the distinct fresh dough fluff there. That said, the crust is clearly from fresh dough and by far the closest to a good NYC slice I can recall having outside NYC. It has that critical gradient of thin crispy bottom with soft but cooked dough above, retaining some airiness through approx the outer half. The sauce is solid-- middle of the road in all respects, no surprises, good flavor and texture with about the right coverage. I'd definitely take these reheat slices over something like a fresh pie from Grimaldi's in Dallas regardless of...

While their food is good and I don't get to come here often I do when I can because I know I'm supporting a local smaller business! The service has always been good! Sounded great for dinner tonight, I ordered 2 pizzas cheese bread and wings... $66.47 later I asked for 2 little ranches maybe 4/6oz little cups they use of ranch and was told "We charge for those" Even if you get wings they charge? Seems rediclous! It should come with at least 1 if not more depending how many you order. At least the wings should come with ranch... I recall dining in before getting wings and I got ranch with no issue.. BUT my reply was I just spent 66$ and can't have a ranch? Ok Ill use my own even though yalls is better! I didn't bring my wallet back in. I had gone in paid and it wasn't ready so I had to go back in to get the food... ANYWAY They didn't like that at all and I didn't get a Thank you, come back, bye, or anything!!! They got very rude after that! Needless to say I'll use my own ranch! Idk if I'll be back, this really...

Okay, is probably the best that can be said for this place. The decor and atmosphere is dated and shabby. The salads are pre-boxed, and the dressings aren't made in house or always fresh (I had a couple I took back because they had come out of their container and were congealed and looked expired). The calzones and pizza are their best options, but are made early in the day, and reheated in their oven as they are ordered. There is only one kind of calzone, and the pizzas are all cheese, then just topped with additional toppings upon order. This has the undesired side effect of making the crust overly baked and dry, and doesn't allow the toppings to actually flavor the pizza. I feel that if it wasn't for this restaurant's proximity to the court house and other time-sensitive offices downtown, it would not still be...

Have passed this gem up for years and now I wish I didn't. I had the opportunity to try the $7.00 #1 and #4 specials. The #1 is the two slice and a medium drink. These slices are huge! Has to be the best hand tossed I've had in the Lubbock Area. It has the perfect ratio of sauce cheese and pepperoni. The #4 is a meat and pepperoni calzone with a medium drink. The meat sauce and dough ratios are perfect as well. I wasn't really into calzones until now. They even have a 28" pie on the cheap. Definitely going to get that soon. The employees are awesome and very friendly. Definitely coming back!

A mom-n-pop pizza joint that's been there for years. We ordered "by the slice", which can be made to order. The pizza was delicious! We also ordered side salads. I had the House Vinaigrette. Again. Delicious. It's located in old downtown Lubbock, where brick streets meander, and its decor probably hasn't been updated since 1970-something. We didn't care at all. The vintage decor only added to the charm. Oh, and they have the largest pizza that I've ever seen - Texas size! It runs about $40. I can see it making a debut at a few teen get-togethers. 😉
