Hardee's — Restaurant in Lumberton

I used to love to go to the Hardee's in Lillington for cheese burgers and milkshakes. That's why my darling and I chose to stop at Hardee's for a quick dinner when we was in Lumberton for business. I was highly disappointed with the dinner we was served. We both ordered the big chicken combo. Both of our meals was completely disgusting. The chicken on our sandwiches was flat, dry, very hard, cardboard stiff, and fried to a crisp. I pulled a piece of chicken off my sandwich, and tried to eat it. It tasted like it was breaded in salt, and it was so crispy it cut the top of my mouth. The buns was grilled until very dark, almost black. I received only two scraps of lettuce that was about 2x2 inches big, only 1 1/2 slice of tomato about the size of a quarter, and thin clear drop of mayo about the size of a nickel. The fries was no better. They was very cold and very very soggy. They tastes like old grease. One of the workers did came out and offer to remake our dinner, but seriously what's the point. If you felt that you served me an adequate dinner the first time, would I not received the exact same thing the next time? This was a complete waist of 18$. My darling and I are done...

It’s Sunday august 20th 2023 I walk into the establishment and hear how the front worker is so excited talking to all of the elderly customers in front of me. I was delighted to see such great customer service. Then I approach the counter with a smile on my face ready to be greeted the same way and I WAS WRONG. I said hi ma’am, she looks at me in disgust, I start my order and the whole time she has an attitude as if I was bothering her. I ignored it until she yells at me from across the room asking me if it was for here or Togo when I placed my order I already told her it was for here. She then proceeds to yell at me again asking what sauce I want, so I tell her. At this point I was ready for a refund and to leave but my husband is disabled and needed food. I wanted breakfast at Chick-fil-a. It's kind of my "I'm off Keto and going back soon ritual" - but it was Sunday. Yikes! So I considered my alternatives. Hardee's was my first pick and thankfully, I got there early enough to get breakfast. I got bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits plus hash browns. Yeah - I know - I can have bacon, eggs, and cheese everyday on my normal diet, but typical bread and any kind of potatoes are out, so this was more about reasonable choices that also taste good.
