Becker's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Lyon Charter Township

We had pizzas from Cottage Inn. They were alright. I ordered two cocktails. Bartender was awful. Rum and Diet was totally flat, zero fizz from the soda. Just tasted like water. Ordered a glass of just diet Coke to pour in it to try to get some flavor. Didn't finish it. Tried a White Russian. Supposed to be Tito's, Kahlua, and heavy cream according to the menu. Menu suggested trying it with Vanilla Absolut, so I asked for that. Menu didn't mention the $2 upcharge. Couldn't taste any Kahlua (or vanilla), and it wasn't creamy at all--more like skim milk mixed with water. Yucky. Business was steady but not busy, so no obvious reason for the malfunction.

Here's the kicker: after the check came and I already tipped the waitress my standard 20% (she wasn't the bartender, so drinks were not her fault) she came up to me for no reason and held her hand to her mouth to shield her comment from the patrons next to me (a table of three Indian people) to tell me that she thought they asked for "chitchat" but they were really asking for their check. She rolled her eyes in their direction when she said it. I could barely believe it, so I asked her to repeat it and she did, complete with the eye roll. Incredibly rude. FWIW, their English wasn't bad. I caught snippets of their conversation and could understand them fine. But even so...I considered telling them their waitress was talking bad about them to other customers, but i decided not to make their night unpleasant. Why would you ever do that -- go up to one table to poke fun at how the paying customers next to us pronounced things?! Super trashy behavior. On that basis alone, we...

We used to come here for the atmosphere it was some what quiet and very personable, a place were you could hear each other talk. Sit down family type pizzeria. Now they’ve turned it into a bar type high top tables.I use to love the steak bites. The steak was good. But tonight they had very very little rice and threw French fries on the side instead of the rice. I went home feeling sick because french fries don’t agree with me my bad for eating them. I guess I just don’t like change a whole lot. the owner she was a very very sweet and apologetic about the changes and knew it would take some time for old customers to get Use to it so if you’re open minded and don’t mind change and the loud atmosphere of a bar, then it might still be good for you. Long overdue review. I've become a regular here. Pay no attention to the bad review crybabies. They're wrong. Burgers are phenomenal. Medium every time and a gluttons wet dream come true. Deals out the wazoo. Extremely reasonable prices. Dive bar hidden in a plaza. It's a gem hidden just out of sight. Every bartender fantastic and amazing personality. This place is my jam. Comfortable chairs and bar the perfect height for leaning. Atmosphere is something you search your entire life looking for and never find. It's the perfect dive bar.
