MY HUSBAND THE SUPER CRITIC COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED!!!! First of all my husband should come with a warning label! He is a retired Article II, Officer of the United States of America with 53 Years of an “Indefinite Term of Service”! He was Appointed by President Richard Milhous Nixon! [DD-214N]

He is a Realtor (Qui Tam) “Prolific Whistleblower”, Federal Lecturer for the Department of Justice, Department of Education, and United States Bureau of Prisons! His Intelligence Quotient (“IQ”) is Classified by the Military and has been classified as renewed by six presidential administrations! He has been found by the FBI Surveillance Profiler to be “Extremely Rare”!

What does that have to do with Cooper Hawk? EVERYTHING!

I forgot to tell you that my husband was also a “Professional Diner” and entertaining some of the most powerful people in the world he has eaten at some of the finest restaurants and establishments around the world!

As his “First Lady” I have been a “Wine Club Member” for more than 15 years! I rave about my relationship with Cooper Hawk. I value my relationship with Cooper Hawk! It has been priceless!

Last night was our date night! I decided to take my critical retired VADM (USNA-75) to your Burr Ridge location because we live in Hinsdale, Illinois! We have been married for 49 uninterrupted years, and friends for 62 years! I thought I had seen it all!

We walked into Cooper Hawk and were seated right away in “preferred” type seating! My husband was impressed! The Server Mr. Thomas Spann, Jr., was a “Trainee” with his Trainer Ms. Apollonia! The well coordinated service was beyond OUTSTANDING!

Kudos to Cooper Hawks’ Management for promoting Mr. Thomas Spann, Jr., to the Front End of the Restaurant! He is a “perfect ten” ~ tall, dark, and handsome! He has a brilliant smile, warm personality and made me feel fortunate to have him as my Server! HIS SINCERITY WAS IMPECCABLE!!!

I am proud of “Server Extraordinaire” Thomas Spann, Jr. I told him so! I told him that he reminded me of a much younger man like my husband!

He did not smother my husband and me with attention but he was always there and on the ready when we needed anything! His professionalism exceeds his tenure in his perfectly matched position! He’ll do great things in the Restaurant and Hospitality business!

Cooper Hawk exceeded my expectations! I give Cooper Hawk “TEN E’s” for EXCELLENCE instead of Five Stars! Michelin you better watch out!

THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL! Fairly Priced, Delicious, Perfectly Plated, etc.

THE VENUE WAS UNDERSTATED BUT EXQUISITE! With a white table cloth and charcoal gray floor covering I would have been satisfied paying twice as much my meal!

THE DRINKS WERE THE BEST!! THE BREAD WAS HOT AND PERFECTLY SERVED! The Key Lime pie was a delicious treat and prepared in a magnificent and delightful way! We thought we knew good Key Lime Pie! For forty years my husband entertained his clients at the Palmer House because of the great coffee they served! He was floored after finishing off his dinner last night with Cooper Hawks freshly brewed coffee.

I could go on but I don’t need to! As a “Professional Diner” paid a whole lot more for a hell of a lot less! My critical experience is nothing less than sensational!

Not only will I return, I intend to tell all of my friends too! Cooper Hawk is the place to go for the best experience for the money! I look forward to seeing you again real soon!

UPDATE! - Manager got a hold of me and apologized and explained the new measures they are going to implement. Even getting new tables. Said he wanted to make it up to us so invited me to dinner. I said great - Sunday at 7 good? That is fine, he said. I won't be there but I will inform manager on duty. Great I said. Sunday I call, because I forgot to ask for outside. Receptionist said we have no reservation. What? She said we can fit you in at 7:30 outside. I said, that is fine. Everything this time was great! Staff, food, atmosphere until bill came. I did not do this to get a free meal but hey he said come back and have dinner on us. I did email manager but just talk I guess. It does look like they did change their style when dealing with guests and honestly everyone looked happier and the meal enjoyable and tasty. OLD REVIEW below: This used to be one of our favorite restaurants but we have been back 3 times since reopening after covid-19 closures and the experiences have been less than expected. The first experience was for outside seating for dinner. It was okay but was turned off by the time limit repeated enunciation but okay, I understand that they are trying to survive. The thing is the patio is big and they only had 8 tables. Second two of the tables remained empty so the stressing about our time limit is just not nice. Second time, I requested outside but they said not available then placed in the walk way through the restaurant. Manager saw we were not happy so moved us to another area. We happened to look outside eating area and again empty tables. What was that about? Then made reservations for wine tasting.. Only feasible time was 5 pm. Okay. Get there — get our spot. Notice 3 stations open. Also told that we can only stay 45 minutes. Really? Okay fine. Drinking our wine and on last glass of the tasting — told we only have 5 more minutes. No one is waiting and two stations still open. Just a bad feeling. When you compare with Capri or Topaz. Cooper’s Hawk not really doing well with the pandemic paradigm. Cooper’s Hawk in Burr Ridge is our top favorite place to come to. We have been here a million times. Have met old friends here from long ago, met new friends. People are so friendly that come here. We will continue to come back. We have been to other locations and no other will ever top Burr Ridge.

Seated for dinner one night the District Manager Jay, over Burr Ridge location came up to us, whom we never met before. OMG, such a wonderful person. Extremely nice and very friendly.

Mike, the General Manager, is amazing. He welcomes us back with open arms and a smile each and every time. Never been anywhere that a GM will see you and come up to you and welcome you back every time. Mike will always when he sees us, comes to our table to say hi and make sure all is ok. Mike always makes sure that everything is perfect. Trevor is another awesome manager. Always welcomes us and comes up to our table to say hi and to see hows things going. The both are amazing!

People at the front desk are extremely nice when checking in. Skyler always has a big smile on her face when she sees us. Very nice.

So many wonderful servers. Our top servers are Stefani and Jessica, extremely nice. Can’t beat them.

We will miss Alondra who is off to a new location as a manager. She will be missed and they are so lucky to have her. We met Burr Ridge new manager Vanessa, extremely nice and friendly.

Wine taster servers are great. Jelly is super amazing, knows her stuff and so friendly, welcomes everyone with a smile. Others on our top list for wine taster servers is Krista, Amanda, Cindy and AJ. AJ is very knowledgeable about wine.

There is nothing bad I can say about Coopers Hawk in Bur Ridge. Always enjoy being here. I know as we all know no place is perfect all the time but this place sure rates as...
