1/29 Response to manager - since you reviewed the video, go back and listen to the audio. Orders were placed at the same time. So if your POS system shows multiple orders being put in, that just proves the incompetence of your staff. The video will show the server walking around the table taking all orders at the same time. Perhaps a second video review will reveal how he lost several orders creating this whole mess you call a dining experience. It’s a very bad look to respond to a customer and lie in the response just to save face.

Review: We were seated in a large group on Friday, Jan 26 and upon ordering were told they do not separate bills. After speaking to the manager and offering to separate into individual tables so bills could be separated he said to just place our orders and they would figure out the bills and take individual cards.

The group orders at about 8:56pm. Around 9:30 food starts coming out. Around 10pm 4 of us did not receive food. We cancel the sushi rolls, and inquire about the rest and realize they lost our order without realizing it. Finally, one of us receives food 10 minutes later. When we inquire about the last two meals - a soup and a salad we are told the kitchen is working on it. Not true - we see the manager promptly go to the POS system and enter the order.

The servers were sweet but seemed grumpy like they have to put up with this a lot. When we asked about the other food and stated they had all been ordered at the same time - over an hour ago, her response was, “let me go get my manager so you can yell at him.” At nearly 10:30 the final two receive our entrees - a salad and a soup. No apologies no nada, in fact at that point several people start posting their bill because the whole experience is so long and drawn out.

The credit card machine was also on the fritz so cards were swiped multiple times and one member of our party has 7 pending charges for the same meal. The restaurant was practically empty so I don’t understand a 1hr 20min wait to get food. Simply unacceptable. The table seated after us started getting food before our entire party was served.

Curry bowl - I think we were so hungry we agreed it was just ok meaning it probably wasn’t great but hunger pains set in.

The spicy tuna appetizer was good but served on wontons and came in an order of 6.

Chicken fried rice was dry and bland. Everyone who ordered it added an ample amount of soy sauce.

The Thai beef salad was over the top sour and loaded with fish sauce. Not at all balanced and again, the steak seemed sketchy, I think I got the kitchen sink.

Poor service, average food and a grumpy manager. Lots of other options in this shopping center. You’re best off passing this one by as they are unwelcoming, unapologetic and food is average at best. Also, read the GM responses to negative reviews - perfect display of the customer service you can expect to receive. This knock off of PF Changs falls short of all...

The inside of the restaurant is vibrant, modern decor and very well designed. This is the second time I've dined at this restaurant hoping that the sushi would be better than the first visit. Unfortunately it wasn't... the sushi was only okay. Visually the plate and the food was very appealing but fell short after that. Most of their sushi has tempura crunchy crumbs on it which I requested not to have on any of my sushi. And I like tempura but I don't need the crumbs on all my food which at some point becomes a soggy mess. I haven't ordered a cocktail from there but they seem to have a well stocked full bar. I ordered two sushi rolls which I believe both were some kind of jazzed up spicy tuna rolls. Oh but wait...to start I ordered the tuna poke appetizer which was so delicious. I would return just to order that as my meal. It's plated as three sacks of tuna on round wontons. I think if I return I'll perhaps try an entree and pass on the sushi but I would definitely start or even end with tuna poke. Overall the aesthetics were everything...a great place for awesome pics and selfies! The sushi is average tasting but it may be worth getting an entree, cocktail and...

Went to Wok N Fire Burr Ridge for the very first time since the pandemic with my girlfriends whom I haven't seen in 2 years. We were all very excited. But unfortunately...it was a super busy night and maybe understaffed....so we didn't get to eat anything. We were there from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and we only had a chance to order our dirty martinis and Las Vegas roll with pan seared dumplings. That's all I get to eat. 2 pieces of Las Vegas roll and 1 dumpling. I was starving so after 2 hours and still no sign of our waiter....again....I understand the short staffed issue but I will not go back again and would not recommend. With 6 dirty martinis and 1 roll of Las Vegas and 1 order of dumplings...it was $125.....and we had to go somewhere else for dinner......it was not the best experience and not friendly on our wallet. Very disappointed. 😞

Update: Owner asked me to email them which I did and never heard back from them. Therefore, I took another star off so now it is only worth 1 star. I tell everyone this story and we all get a good laugh out of this experience. Oh well. Good bye Wok n...

Wok n Fire in Burr Ridge, Illinois, proved to be an ideal spot for a Friday evening, offering a seamless experience from start to finish. Despite the absence of drinks in their happy hour specials, the regular drinks menu did not disappoint. The blue martini and old fashioned were both expertly crafted and added a touch of sophistication to the evening. When it came to appetizers, the selection was diverse and flavorful. The pan-seared dumplings were a standout, prompting us to order another round, while the chicken lettuce wraps and spicy tuna roll provided a satisfying variety of tastes and textures. The addition of yakitori beef added another layer of indulgence to our meal. The service was exceptional, with our waitress exhibiting warmth and attentiveness throughout the evening. It was heartening to see her training a new team member, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to maintaining high standards of service. Overall, Wok n Fire delivered an enjoyable dining experience, making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking quick bites and quality drinks in Burr Ridge.
