Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-Burr Ridge — Hotel in Burr Ridge

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for my stay.

Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed by its cleanliness. The bed was neatly made, and the entire space exuded a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The amenities provided in the room were satisfactory, and I appreciated the convenience of having a small fridge and microwave.

The complimentary breakfast offered at the hotel was a good start to the day. There was a decent variety of options available, from cereal to pastries and warm items like eggs and choice of protein.

However, one minor issue I encountered during my five-day stay was the shortage of towels in the room. It seemed that the housekeeping staff did not anticipate the length of my stay and did not provide an adequate number of towels. While I did request additional towels, it would have been more convenient if the room had been stocked appropriately from the beginning.

Nevertheless, the staff at the Hampton Inn & Suites were attentive and responsive to my needs. They promptly addressed my request for extra towels, and their friendly demeanor added a positive touch to my overall experience.

The location of the hotel was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The surrounding area felt safe and provided a pleasant environment for exploring and dining options.

In summary, the Hampton Inn & Suites provided a nice, clean room and a satisfying breakfast experience. While the shortage of towels was a minor inconvenience, it did not overshadow the overall positive aspects of my stay. Hotel was good but they issued an unauthorized charge. I paid ahead of time with booking.com, when I got to the hotel they asked to put in a deposit ($50/night which was refunded) but they ALSO charged me again for the room! When I messaged the hotel they didn't respond. I got the issue resolved with Booking.com and had to file a dispute. I specifically chose to stay at the hampton inn but I don't know if I would again since I'd have to look out for dishonest charges. Completely unacceptable - breakfast was great though

Update review- 1 star As you can see the hotel tried to man-splain me on the review instead of contacting me correctly, apologizing and talking about it. What he said wasn't even accurate. The hotel that I cancelled was cancelled within the 100% free cancellation period. The amount charge didn't match the amount it would have been if I didn't cancel in time, or the amount for the reservation.. and it was taken at the time of check in, so it was an unauthorized charge that no one told me about. I'm glad I didn't book directly with the website because the only reason I was able to sort this out was through Booking.com. So...

This hotel is great if you are planning on going to Toyota Park / Seat Geek Stadium! You can also easily access downtown Chicago by Ubering to Midway Airport and taking the Orange train. The hotel has great rooms with decent check in service. They offered bottles of water, but didnt state it was complimentary so a few of the rooms on our reservation weren't accepting it b/c they thought they would be charged. They have the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen in a hotel! And they change what they serve so if you stay over a weekend it doesn't get repetitive. They leave fresh coffee out throughout the day, too, which was amazing for our long days exploring Chicago. The rooms have USB ports.
