This is my impression on the individual dishes from Stix & Stones:

– Soppressata "Honey Luv" Pizze: Putting crushed chili flakes on the pizze when pizze toppings are brought out with the pizze doesn't really make sense. The chili flakes make the honey undetectable. – Sausage and Broccoli Pizze: Broccoli stems should be cut up into bite-size portions. No American wants a whole broccoli stem while they're eating a pizza, trust me. – Ham Sandwich: No spiciness at all for a ham sandwich. Needs some sort of mustard. – Wood Roasted Chicken: Too. Much. Arugula. I've ordered this sandwich several times and it always seems to be the same—there's more arugula than chicken. Arugula is only good sparingly. – Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: Way too spicy. The rest of the sandwich is completely overpowered and can barely be tasted.

They provide you with actual plates and silverware, and a cloth napkin, which really sold me on the restaurant because then I don't have to take home plastic silverware to recycle.

They also have The Plush Horse ice cream, which was an immediate +1 star. I've been going to The Plush Horse since I was a kid, and I'm glad to have a little slice of childhood...

It's simply the best. If you don't like wood fired pizza or if you've had fire cooked pizza, I have just one question: WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!! You should get up off of whatever that is that you're sitting on & get yourself over to Burr Ridge Center and have one of the very best pizzas you've ever savoured! If you're eating in, the parlor is quiet -- perfect for that night out with that special person ( or those close friends). Although we have never waited long for a pie, there are appetizers a-plenty & of course a splendid selection of wine, quality craft beer & soft drinks. We've never had our scrumptious pizzas delivered, so I can't speak about that service. However, we have ordered for pickup on several occasions. The order was given to us with a smile. So, that's it. That's about all I have to say about our many Stix & Stones experiences. Are you experienced? Why not...

6/5/2018 Food is decent, but service was extremely disappointing. Went with a couple co-workers. One got their food in about 10 minutes. About 10 minutes later, staff asked if we'd received our food and let them know 2 of us hadn't. 10 minutes later they bring out another sandwich for the first person who'd already eaten his. Let them know he'd gotten his and we were still waiting. After about 40 minutes from ordering and still no pizza, my 2 co-workers had to leave. 5 minutes later, I finally get the 2 pizzas they'd forgotten about (to-go). As expected, they rushed the order and pizzas were half-cooked. Worst of all, got attitude rather than apology with staff asking "where'd your little friends go?". Seriously? Obviously, place does plenty of business and doesn't care when they give...

After not being here since 2019 we decided to go again. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to past experiences. When ordering I noticed all of the beer tap handles were removed, no problem I asked what beer and wine they had available. The person behind the counter informed me that the new owners have decided to remove alcohol from the menu. After ordering our sausage and pepperoni pizza it came out fairly quickly. There was far more crust without ingredients than in the past and less cheese. The crust was good the rest of the pizza was average at best. For the price there are far better options in the area. With the lack of beer and wine options we will not be back.

I went to this place because their Italian sandwich looked pretty good in Google maps. When I got it the meat on the sandwich was hardly there. It wasn't slices of meat as the picture showed, instead it was slices of meat which had been chopped up and lightly scattered through the salad in the sandwich. There was plenty of cheese stuffed in the edge of the sandwich. Anyway, don't trust the picture posted by the restaurant. It'll end up costing almost $14 after tax and this sandwich is worth about half that.

Had a date night with my wife last night and stopped in for a quick bite. The pizza was fantastic and we were lucky enough to show up during the two for one Monday night special! If you like Neapolitan style pizza, I highly recommend you give Stix & Stones a try. Also enjoyed the craft beer selection. Perfect location if you plan on shopping at the Burr Ridge Village Center or catching a workout at Lifetime fitness nearby.
