A restaurant with no food…. I was invited here to bring the New Year in with family and this place missed the mark at every opportunity. I’d checked out the menu prior to going so I was aware there would be a limited NYE menu but when we arrived and were seated we were informed they did not have Bronzino or filet mignon. Ok so the limited menu just got even smaller. Still hoping to make the best of the situation because I’m with family, I choose crab cakes and smashed potato fries along with 3 other family members. After about 15 min the waiter comes over and says I’m sorry but we don’t have crab cakes. At this point I have no food option as the only thing left were chicken and steak, neither of which I eat. I decided I would get something from Hampton Social across the way and eat it later. The rest of the party revised their choices again by ordering chicken. I had an opportunity to speak with the manager on the way out the door who advised they would give us rib eyes no charge. But there were a couple people at our table that didn’t eat red meat including myself, so what did that leave for us? Happy with my decision to get food else where I go next door, placed my order and while waiting I noticed the general manger from Pella Signature entered Hampton Social going straight to the kitchen. I assume to find out if he could borrow food. Also while waiting I get a call from my daughter who lets me know the waiter came back to the table to say there are no entrees available and there is only rib eye steak to offer. We contemplated all heading over to Hampton Social but their kitchen was closing in 15 min (10:45pm) so we were forced to wait for the only thing made available to us. I forgot to mention our reservation was for 9pm and in an hour and 45 min we had not been given any food, I guess because they didn’t have any. To our dismay we noticed another family eating happily with chicken and lobster, all of the things we’d ordered. I’ve never experienced anything like this at a place whose only job is to serve food and they don’t have any food. I was beyond disappointed and I know what you’re thinking, this didn’t happen. Oh...
Read morePella Signature It has nothing to do with windows ! Pella is the ancient capital city of Macedonia, the birthplace of Alexander, the Great. From the moment you walk in, you can sense the extravagance of the modern city and the “Signature” of Alexander, its magnificent king.
The bar is inviting and captures your eye the moment you walk in. Even if your table is ready, I suggest you take a moment to enjoy one of the many signature cocktails or a glass of wine at the lighted marble bar to capture the mood and soak in the ambience. The menu features a variety of familiar Mediterranean dishes and specialty local fare you would expect to find in an upscale, sheik urban eatery. For starters, the Saganaki, Charcuterie, Salmon Sashimi, Grilled Octopus, and Gently Fried Calamari are all worth a try, but the Grilled Prawns are by far my favorite and always a must. It’s a tough choice between the Ceasar Salad and the Greek Salad, (traditional Village Salad), both are especially good, but don’t neglect to explore the variety of soups and salads on the menu.
The guests at our table enjoyed the tender and flavorful, Oven Roasted Lamb Shank, Lobster Pasta, which was generously portioned with an abundance of lobster, “Genuine Wagyu” Short Rib Risotto, and highly suggested, delivered fresh daily, Grilled Spanish Branzino. All were so good we had to share a taste around the table. The steaks are prime and can rival any high end steak house. The desserts are surprisingly and unexpectedly unique. Ask your server for a suggestion but be sure enjoy the surprise presentation of the Tiramisu.
All in all, Pella Signature far exceeded our expectations and is sure to be a great experience for a dinner out or a special event. Hospitality, service, great food, ambiance, and cleanliness are the standard. Take a stroll around the entire restaurant and marvel at the patio room complete with a retractable ceiling and warm weather open air dining. I can’t wait...
Read moreWent there on the soft opening of the place where they are trying to get feed back on the menu. So here is my honest opinion on the place. Atmosphere: Place looks amazing they did a really good job. 5 out of 5 Service: I know it is hard to find decent servers now a days but the people that served us were young and probably for most of them their first job so they ned more training. The waitress was polite, frendly and antentive but they kept bringing plates and drinks but did not pick up the empty ones. I had to get up and move them to an empty table next to us since we run out of place on the table. 3 out of 5 Food: Some good some bad. I had the 55 days aged ribeye steak and it was ok. Compared to steaks i had in the past in the same level i would give it a 3 out of 5. My wife had the Tagine and realy the only option for vegetarian exept a salad. She liked it and it was fine for me too. I would say 5 out of 5 only remark is this was a serving for 2 so you cant order a smaler portion if nobody wants to share. 5 out of 5 Frend had the mixed grill ( sausage, steak and lamb) i tried the sausage and it was really good, he orderd the steak medium it arived overcooked and lamb chop was ok. 3 out of 5 Frend wife had the seafood cauldron. It was big and i think you can feed at least two people. It reminded me of seafood boil but more like soup. For me this was the best tasting food from the above mentioned foods we ordered for the night. Deserts: passion coconut tart realy realy good defenety recomend. 5 out of 5 Open fire rosted pinaple did not try it frend said it was meh so i would give 4 out of 5 Crema catalina was basically creme brulee with choped fruit 5 out of 5 Gelato did not tried it but my frend and his wife said only one flavor was good cant realy judge this since it is ice cream and they might not like a particular flavor.
Over all we had a good time, and i wish best of luck to the restorant success...
