All I can say is wow! We had a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Just from initially booking the reservation for 18 and as people dropped out we ended up with 5 and the staff couldn’t have been more kind and gracious and accommodating.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful to begin with and the ambiance is very cozy and warm. Perfect for families, a date night or a night in town with your girls. Their bar is very expansive and we had one of the best whiskey sours here so perfect for just stopping in after a long day of work to grab a drink and a quick appetizer.
Speaking of appetizers the Sicilian meatballs were off the chain! So tender and juicy but packed with flavor! The cheese platter was very delicious as well, which was a pleasant surprise since we were on the fence a little bit but it was oh so good and perfect for snacking on once we get home 😅.
In terms of appetizers we had the chicken parm which was arguably one of the best I’ve had in my life. So crispy but juicy and boy was it a flavor punch in the first bite and everyone after. The sauce was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked. We also had the spaghetti and meatballs which although is a seemingly simply dish was absolutely the opposite. The flavors was so layered and complex, it felt like the sauce had been cooking all day waiting for us lol. The chicken Marsala was aptly described as so good you could drink the sauce and we found that to be true. We also had the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli. This was the only dish that I wasn’t a fan of, I actually did not like the flavor at all but in terms of execution, each component was cooked perfectly, the broccoli was tender, the pasta wasn’t overdone and the sausage had a nice bite.
For dessert we did crème brûlée which was one of the best we’ve had as well. Small but mighty in flavor and the perfect hard shell. We also tried the tiramisu and this was the real deal. It taste as if someone had just freshly finished soaking the lady fingers and freshly assembled it just for us. A wonderful treat to end the evening.
The biggest star though was Michael. He was so kind, patient when we couldn’t figure out what to order, knowledgeable about the menu, even taking our taste preferences into consideration and overall just a nice breathe of fresh air for the evening. We never felt like he had forgotten about us and he was very attentive to our table. Just a great server and the best part of our experience, so much so that we plan to come back in a couple of weeks and hopefully catch him again to try a new round of things on the menu.
If you’ve been thinking about cooking or passing thru the area, definitely give Lucca’s a try. You won’t be disappointed at all and you’ll have a new guaranteed fave restaurant to add to...
Read moreTonight had the worst experience in our lives! Donna the "manager/host" told us it would be a 30 min of a wait time for a table which ended up more than an hour wait. Then she said she had other people to sit ahead of us, and that she will buy us deserts! She told all 4 of us that the desserts are on the house for tonight because of the long wait time that she lied. The server Katrhyn was unattentive, barely came to our table, not once asked if the food was okay or if she could bring us anything, no one filled our water, we had to stop and ask esch time different person to bring us water.. dirty dishes on the table, no one clesring them.. long story short we ssked the "manager" Donna if we can order desserts now, we have been waiting for a long time! phr food took 40+ minutes. Finally we ordered desserts which also took about 20 minutes to arrive to our table. We have been in this restaurant from 6:15pm until 9:20pm is this normal??? We finally asked for our check, and guess what! only one dessert was taken of! we ordered 5 small desserts to share since its "on the house", so well she lied!!! Liar! The server Kathlyn started explaining to us that she has nothing to do with this, that Donna lied and its not her, she can't take desserts off, its not her job to clear the plates or bring us water, she started fighting with us saying that she was busy running around didn't have time... I am just speechless... how is this even acceptable??? a manager lying to guests. A server picking a fight with guests? I felt so emberresed and missteested that we never experienced such humiliation in our lives!! Its a shame because the place is beautiful and fun, the food was amazing, everything melted in our mouths! but because of the lying, humiliation, bad service and being misteated in such way, we won't be back! I feel sad for the owners of hiring who ever especially managers, when they should be fixing the situation and making sure guests...
