Hello Boba Cafe — Restaurant in Macon

The boba shop of my dreams!!

I was looking for a place to stop on the way home to Alabama and Macon seemed like a good place. Scanning through the available restaurants and cafes, I was pleased to see a boba spot open. I got delayed leaving and only managed to duck in about 35 minutes before closing, but no one seemed to hold my late arrival against me. All the staff I interacted with were truly so genuinely friendly and pleasant and eager to help.

The shop (including the bathroom) was clean, and the atmosphere absolutely shone! Several bookshelves full of manga to browse, lots of beautiful and unique art prints, adorable chibi characters on all kinds of merch, a wall of anime characters...if you're a nerd for any of this kind of thing (like me!) this place will absolutely delight you!

For drinks, they have milk teas, lemonades, and lots of boba. I ordered a smaller-sized Oreo milk blast, which is basically a milk tea with boba and Oreo pieces in it! It tasted a lot like a cookies and cream milkshake but thinner than an ice cream drink. The Oreo pieces honestly stand up pretty well and keep a little bit of crunch if you are relatively speedy about drinking your drink! I think they also have bubble waffles and some other eats but I didn't have time for a snack, sadly.

Looks like they have fun trivia, game night, and watch parties here. If I lived in the area, I'd love to come hang out. As is, I'll be back if I'm ever passing through again! Best wishes to the...

We visited on 3/26. The atmosphere is great, inside is beautiful, there are lots of seating options and games, and despite a consistent line out the door they were clearly working hard to get through it in a timely fashion. Those are the only reasons for any stars, as unfortunately the milk teas were a huge disappointment. Two of us ordered strawberry milk teas with extra sugar and one ordered Thai milk tea. Despite the extra sugar requests, our drinks were not even remotely sweet. I was initially a little concerned seeing other visitors milk teas as the drink colors looked very light whereas strawberry and Thai milk teas are always dark pink and dark orange in color at every place we’ve had them, but hoped it would be fine. Sadly that wasn’t the case. All three of our drinks tasted like watery milk with almost no additional flavor. We were unable to finish them. This place is a 5 star with their drinks and the bubble waffle but it gets mainly because of their lack of product recently. My girlfriend and I have been here a few times before and are never disappointed with the service or the drinks because they are fantastic! The drinks taste amazing and they have plenty of different flavor options with their boba, jelly, or syrups to add into your drinks. Recently though within the last month id say, this place let us down mainly due to their lack of product. On Veterans Day they were out of a-lot of their boba and some jelly’s. We went back on the 24th of November, almost 2 weeks, and they were out of basically every single jelly and boba. Maybe they are having issues with their supplier but I would think they would have had a restock within those 2 weeks. All in all, I will definitely always recommend going here and we will definitely be back! Also the bubble waffle isn’t burnt it was covered with the Oreo toppings!...
