On two separate occasions I was laughed at by a woman who answered the phone when I tried to call in my order. The first time I called in my order, I receivedW a few light giggles from the lady on the phone because of my pronunciation of chicharron preparados. It was understandable because I was clearly having difficulty and I even chuckled at myself. The chicken tacos and cactus tacos we’re delicious but the pork rinds topped with Pico, cheese etc. were amazing! So weeks later, going against my summer body goals, I called in again to order the prepared pork rinds that I was so amazed by...Again I had trouble pronouncing Chicharron preparados and the lady on the phone said she did not understand me so I read the English description of the menu item from the online menu to her... she laughed and stated that she “didn’t know what that was“ the call then got silent... I said hello a few times as I could hear the restaurant in the background no one answered but I did hear someone laughing and speaking Spanish as I said helloooooo in an attempt to complete my order...Then someone different answered the phone but she seemed to rush me through my order and had an attitude. She asked me if that completed my order and I said yes. At the same time being confused at what had just happened and the tone of our conversation. She said my order would take 25 minutes and promptly hung up the phone...before I realized that I was talking to myself I had added a drink and two cactus tacos. When no one on the other end replied I looked at my cellphone and realized the call had been ended... She didn’t even ask for a name for my order which is normal when you call in. After that call I went and got sushi from Sumo steak and hibachi instead..Needless to say I will be back for the taco and the pork rinds because the food was delicious the first time... but the on the phone service needs attention. I’m currently looking for another taco spot to give...
Read moreEverything about this place is good, but not the food quality. I learned the hard way. Basically & to cut straight to the chase, if u want or like food poisoning, come here!! Sad part, this wasn’t even my 1st choice. My 1st choice for Mexican food was closed for the week, because they’re celebrating easter. The staff & bartender were very attentive & friendly. I ordered the house special to dine-in(steak & shrimp over grilled onions) & 3 steak tacos to go. I work for the railroad, so im only in town for a 1-2 days, & I dont have a personal vehicle here. So I usually have to walk 15-18min to the downtown area to grab some food. I finished my dine-in meal & headed out for my 15-18min walk back to my dorm. Not even 5min into my walk, my stomach started bubbling. I picked up my pace & barely made it back before I exploded. This was about 6:45pm 2/29/2024. I almost just threw the steak tacos that I ordered to-go into the trash, but decided to wait a few hours before testing them out. My train back to ATL was called at 3am. So I ate my 3 steak tacos during my van ride from the dorm to the train yard (about 10min drive). By the time I got on the train & settled my equipment, my stomach was bubbling again. I told my engineer that I had to get off & use the restroom in the main tower. As I departed the train I started throwing up everything. I finally made it to the restroom I and managed to get all of that garbage out of my system.. I felt like a new man within 5min. Never AGAIN will i come here to eat anything!! luckily we stopped at a quick trip before getting to the yard & i grabbed some snacks & food off the rollers. My stomach held that down perfectly, so I know it was Morelia’s food!! Im never returning here! Not even for a million bucks!! Well, maybe for a...
Read moreSAVE YOUR MONEY! although Macon is not known for the greatest restaurants, this is one of the worst Mexican I have been to. I ate there a few times previously and did not rush back for an encore. I decided to give it another try because I wanted some veggie tamales. The last time I had some there--over a year ago--they were ok. I thought (for some crazy reason) they might be better. Foolish rationale. Instead, this time around they were inedible! I ordered take out and for my $12.00 and change (it felt like tossing my Dinero to the wind) I received a skimpy portion of beans and rice with 2 tamales in husks. When unwrapped, the tamales--supposed to be 'veggie' were 2 lumps of mostly thick flour and cornmeal with a sliver of something in the middle that was to identify them as veggie... What a disappointment and total waste of my money. After dissecting them, I had a pile of lumpy breading which was dry and tasteless. I couldn't eat it. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the mess. I called the restaurant to ask if these were made from scratch or frozen--just to see if they would be honest and forthright--but I was told the cooks made them.. from scratch? I asked. She said yes. That's the biggest lie ever told. I know I could walk up in there and find a big bag of some commercial, processed tamales up in their freezer--without a doubt! I'll NEVER go back there again for skimpy portions, tasteless, dry food and deceptive practices at this place posing as a restaurant. I need a refund! This experience just makes me know I need to be VERY selective...
