This is a very popular place for tourist. It has a nice view of the inland waterways just east of the drawbridge. It's cool to sit outside to eat and drink and watch all of the cool ships and boats go by and for the larger ones to watch The bridge open up and close for them. We sat on the upper deck outside so we had a good view of the water on a really nice day. The bartender was also the waiter for our table. I would suggest parking in the city garage as it's way cheaper than all of the surface lots which are managed by private companies and high priced. It's kind of a peculiar menu. It's rare to see your drink menu have MKT which stands for market price. When you need to ask the bartender or waiter what a standard margarita and pina colada cost it's pretty strange. I've never seen that before and wonder how they monkey the price around all the time and why. A standard strawberry daiquiri is $11 and a semi alcoholic Margarita is $9. A number of the menu items are MKT as well. Again strange for an average restaurant. It appears they have the advantage over the traveler and tourist visitor. We had three small Moji tacos and they were $22.45 and again this is a MKT item. They continued to get the tourist by having a surcharge fee of 3% on your ticket. Personally I really dislike these back of house and other charges at restaurants nowadays. Certainly a California carry over. We had the French fry flight of three different types of french fries that come in little small baskets and it was $13. Two drinks some tacos add some simple french fries and it cost us $86.00 for lunch before tip. Simply outrageous for the average Joe. 6.25.25...Even though the management replied to my review, I never have seen why drinks were not priced on a menu. They walked around that answer. It's not like a five star restaurant for a Michelin recognize facility. Personally I think they can monkey the prices this way. Otherwise your prices...
Read moreWe had to wait a half hour for a table (no big deal). We get called to come to our table and it’s not even clean. So we wait a little longer, ok coool no biggie. Our server was Taylor C. We sit down and order drinks and grouper nuggets. Drinks take about 10min. When she comes back we order our food. After we order our entrees we don’t see her until the entrees come. Our drinks were empty and our appetizer never came. We tell her that it never came and she looks at her tablet and tells us “oh! I never rang it in”. First of all I’m a server and I would NEVER admit that lol. No apologies or anything. The restaurant was out of basically everything. My son’s food was supposed to upgrade to truffle fries and then she tells us they are out after we get our food. Also she asked us what else we needed, I said silverware. Uhh duh lol well guess what she didn’t come back so I had to think like a server and go find silverware. We could see her standing there rolling silverware in the window and she checked on us once after and didn’t even realize I had to go find us silverware. Basically idk what we paid $125 for. The food was OK nothing to rave about and the service was trash. We go to cash out and she doesn’t even print us a bill and just swipes our card so we can’t even see if our check is right. When I asked for a copy i was given attitude. Honestly everything about this experience was awful. I tip 30%+ and she’s lucky I don’t believe in tipping under 20% so that’s all she got. We wanted to ask for a manager but we figured they would never come. I get that it’s spring break and busy but it was more than half empty when we went and the service was trash. We...
Read moreThis was our first time trying Sculley's Seafood Resturant. Great Atmospher! Right off the water on the Boardwalk.
Located in Medeira Beach, Fl. Just before Treasure Island.
The food was well prepared, fresh and most importantly absolutely delicious!!!!
Appetizer : Grouper Nuggets with house made Dill Tartar Sauce
Drinks: Rum Runner, Spiked Strawberry Lemonade, Pineapple Mojito
Entrees: Blackened Grouper Dinner, Market Greens Salad w Ranch,
Tropical Chicken Dinner, with Ceaser Salad.
Grouper dinner was well seasoned and didnt require any tartar sauce. The potatoes were roasted to perfection with parmesan cheese. Those green beans were prepared to preserve nutrional value. Spouse added fresh cracked black pepper and lighly salted them. They were perfect!
My Tropical Chicken dinner was juicy and full of flavor. My heirloom carrots were carmelized and fork tender. I too had green beans. Wow blown away! I don't normally like Mango but the mango salsa on top of my chicken was incredibly delcious, providing some sweetness without being too sweet.
I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service and food. Haily our server, provided us with suggestions and was knowlegable about the overall menu.
Then, John (manager) came by our table and introduced himself, genuinely talked to and welcome us. He let us know if we needed anything we could ask for him. Once our food was delivered he came back to check on us.
Thank you to Haily for great service and John for taking a pic with me and making this experience off the charts. Looking forward...
