This is a new location so understandably there are a few things to sort out. The music volume was too low-I like it where I can’t hear the majority of others talking. The Margaritas were very sour, but they’re made fresh and it’s prob just a little too much lime for the amount of tequila. I’m disappointed chips and salsa weren’t put out there like practically everywhere else..but the tortillas chips were fresh and tasty.
We ran out of chips for the appetizer but the waitress brought out more without us even asking, which was awesome.
One in my party had steak tacos and they tasted a little bland, but the queso and salsa from the appetizer fixed that. Having ground beef as an option would be fantastic for those who like tacos a little less than the authentic version.
I had the Red Birria tacos. The consume is on point!! You can taste the subtle hint of cinnamon which most miss omit when they make the recipe. The flavor of the taco itself was great-they just need to send them out assembled and with cheese. They offer cheese as a side between the shells, but that’s like the concrete of the foundation..it has to come on it to make it stay together when the shell gets soggy. The onion and cilantro were on the side, so you can just add it yourself if you want, but I just like getting right into dipping and feel like it should just be included in the taco.
Other than that, all the staff were very friendly, the bill wasn’t overpriced, and the restaurant was clean. I’ll...
Read morePLEASE READ I went to this place and I was shocked after reading some of the silly reviews that don’t seem to come from people that know what real Mexican food is, a person complaining for not having ground beef, other one saying that shrimp were raw (yes in aguachile that’s how shrimp goes), other one for having too little cheese on their Birria taco? and other group gave one star just because they didn’t split the check for 25 people really? Seemed like they were looking for a Tex Mex place. Ok now my own review, I was happy to be welcomed with some chips and salsa on the house, and I ordered chilaquiles which were really tasty, portion was big so I was able to share it with one more person. The service was amazing and personable. The owners from what I know are always looking for ways to improve and have been on the restaurant business from a long time and it’s a family business. I would definitely give this place a try and I will be...
Read moreWOW... So We showed up... all 25 of us seniors, to a location we favored after bowling back in the '90's... We arrived at 1 pm on Friday and as the last of the lunch rush left, there were literally no one else but staff. We sat down and the waitress took our drink orders, and then several minutes later, our food orders. It was just a few minutes later that a pleasant experience went completely "South" and "Off the Rails"... We were informed that our tab would be all on one bill.... and there WAS NO WAY they were going to flex...! This is something we haven't experienced in a day and age when EVERYWHERE we go we are asked if this is "All on one" or "separate checks"...!!!! NEEDLESS to say, we were quite shocked that the NEW Management can't seem to get with the 21st Century... and most of us left without eating...
Word to the WISE, unless you're a business paying the tab for a Write-off, THIS is NOT THE PLACE FOR A LARGE PARTY or...
