Indian Palace — Restaurant in Madison

Ok ok ok…. Where do I start man. This is the most strangest restaurant I have gone to. First of all even in our beautiful state of Tamil Nadu, they give us water with our food. But this strange specimen, did not. I was bamboozled. I asked young lad where is my water. The boy says “sir what water”. This left me in deep shock. What type of restaurant doesn’t give you water. I wasn’t parched man. Parched! Ok let’s go tot the next thing. If you are coming here to fine dine. Please look away. This is not the place, what can I say, it is to go. Ok this is not even that bad. But the game changer here was that you have to pick your own food! 🤯 What kind of restraint makes the customer serve his own food?? They young people sitting in front should’ve be getting they should pay us! Food was alright seasoned and all. The usual Indian food you can get. I have no problems with the food only management, I understand the restraunt just opened but at least put up some decor you know. A little ambience goes a long way. And what do I tip for? Ordered Chole Bhature. Asked for some onions on the side for which they said you have to pay separately. Fair enough, I wanted to order a full plate of green salad since there were no complimentary onions with Chole Bhature but they don't have any salad on the menu. Anyway ordered a plate of onions separately, paid for it and when it came it had literally 3 small round slices of onion. When I complained that I paid separately for a full plate of onions and this is just 3 small slices, the girl looked at me and sighed and stared at me as if I was an unwelcomed guest here and I needed to shut up and just accept whatever they gave me. Anyway moving on, while having 2nd bhatura I found 2 different pieces of white thread on it. I showed it to the girl at the counter and then binned everything and all her reaction was " oh sorry" and that's about it. So I just left. The taste of Chole Bhature was good until I found those threads and everything else wasn't a good experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone and nor would i I visit this restaurant ever again. Tip for the Owner - Replace the girl at the counter or shut...

I know this is Alabama. However, did you even try to season my Tandori chicken that I ordered? Its an insult that you had guile to write "mild" on my reciept. Dull, boring, drab or dreary would have sufficed. Are you guys out of Tandori? Because that's what it taste like. Moving on to the consistency. Was there any concern for building flavor on the skin of the chicken? Im going to assume it was baked. Sadly, it was cooked long enough just to be done. Not to infuse a crispy flavorful coating. Just orangish red chicken half hazardly tossed on under cooked veggies that was mainly onions. Your naan was your saving grace. Im going to have to make more naan & jasmine rice (that you couldn't even bother to include for $26 dollars)if im to salvage this dish you let pass for indian food.
