Edit: this was a fake review, they had every bartender do one. I actually didnât even eat the whole salad đ I tossed it. Kitchen usually makes great food and the decor of the place is super cool but the management is truly the worst Iâve ever worked under. They fired me three weeks before I planned to quit due to my disability/medical condition (I was a supervisor + bartender). I missed a few shifts last month because of hospitalization and testing for an internal infection I had but someone was able to cover almost every time. My actual disability (fibromyalgia) never impacted my ability to perform once on the job. They also tried to justify firing me early by claiming they do not have any lower-impact positions despite just announcing prior that theyâre looking for people for admissions and coat check đ but theyâll keep the bartenders that hide shooters and get drunk at work đ€Ș shady company overall, bar was never kept very clean (mold issues everywhere), and very high turnover rate because everyone kept quitting or they were fired for sexual harassment.
Shoutout to DJ Ness and Armando though!! They are fantastic and probably the only people there (aside from the bartenders) that actually care about people beyond themselves and arenât just doing it for show. . . Super unique place in Madison!! Theyâre new so theyâre still planning out events and stuff but their drinks are cheap and they serve food until like 1:30am which is perfect for me bc Iâm always up late. They also do live music and dancing on the weekends!

Read moreMy husband and I were in Madison to attend a show at The Orpheum. The Badger game had just ended and we were looking for a place to grab a quick dinner and some drinks prior to the show. After walking a couple blocks we spotted Roxxy and decided to stop in, and weâre extremely glad we did! I loved the vibe with all the music decor hanging throughout! There was a live DJ mixing hits from the 70s through today. I thought the prices were extremely reasonable, especially for being downtown Madison; my husband and I both thought they wouldâve been higher. He got the Reuben sandwich and said it was the best heâs ever had. He also upgraded to the sweet potato waffle fries which he said were excellent as well. I ordered the chicken tenders with regular fries which was delicious and the portions were huge! I took my leftovers to-go and had another full meal the next day. The tenders had a light breading that added the perfect crisp to them and the seasoning on the fries was excellent. We were very pleased with the food, drinks, and service! We donât frequent Madison often but have already talked about making another trip to Roxxy the next time...
Read moreComing to Roxxy was the coolest experience being from out of town and looking for something fun to do on a Friday night. I ordered the Badger Burger which felt rather unique with the bacon jam on it, and got the sweet potato waffle fries as my side which were just as delicious. They also have a whiskey barbeque which I tried to dip my fries in as barbeque is my favorite condiment. Definitely elevated the barbeque sauce game.
The venue itself is super unique and unlike anything else in Madison, I especially like the guitar and drumset chandeliers above the bar, and finding out they were custom designed was a super neat touch. The music was fun to vibe to as it felt like they had a mixture of a little bit of everything, and knowing that it was being mixed live rather than just a playlist was nice to see.
The staff itself were very nice and personable, and took the time to help me choose a drink that I would enjoy. I tried the purple rain and material girl, both of which were delicious.
For being a new venue, I think it has a lot of potential and excited to see what other events they bring...
