Red Rock Saloon — Restaurant in Madison

When I come to Madison I always stop at Red Rocks and hangout well after what I saw the bouncers do to this Girl & Guy when I was there this Saturday night my group of friends and I won't be walking into Red Rock Madison ever again. Let me a minute and inform that public what I saw first hand. I was standing next to the dance floor talking and I saw another group 2 girls and 2 guys standing right next to me having a good time talking and that's when it all changed. One of girls sat down on the edge of the dance floor not causing any problems and then 2 bouncers walked over and told her to get out then one of the guys in that group asked why and the same bouncer screamed at him to get out as well ( now I was close enough to hear everything) this customer asked why that's when this so called bouncer grabbed him by the arm and twisted to hard and high I thought this guy was going to have a broken arm as they dragged him out ( Because he asked why crazy loud in there so yeah anyone would ask why you can't hear much). When that happened the girl sitting down stood up and 2 other bouncers grabbed her by the arms and legs and dragged her out like a rag doll for no reason at all. I was with a large group of people and we saw everything first hand. This place treated these people so bad for no reason what so ever... Red Rocks is lucky that charges aren't being pressed because what I saw is a law suit waiting to happened. I wish I knew the couple because this wasn't right and something needs to happen to those Bouncers / Management. If this was my girl friend I would not let this stand. I just really hope that him and her are ok these guys (Bouncers) did damage to this couple could tell that they were in pain. My words to everyone seeing this think twice before you walk into this place you could be next. Poor management lets this happen along with hiring bouncer that have no clue about...

I like that this bar and grill is a sliver of country. I've been here two times, once on a Wednesday and on a Friday. The first time was Wednesday and it wasn't super busy the employees did a good job at checking on us sitting in the booth for food and overall it was a good time. This last time I went there on Friday around 8:15 it wasn't great. We called ahead of time and they said they were selling food till 9 and there were plenty of tables. We get there and we go sit at a table instead of a waitress sitting us like last time. We sit there for a few minutes and nobody notices us so we went to the bar to ask if they were still serving food and she said she had to go check ( like ok whatever) she comes back asking us if we want to order food ( like yeah we asked) so she grabs menus from behind the bar and doesn't even bring them to us just expects us to get up and grab them ( I know I'm acting like a Karen but if you're a waitress can you at least come to us to do your job) so we decide what we want and we go back up to the bar to tell her ( also it's not like she was busy with other customers just talking to co workers) ..... Blah blah blah old 2000 country music no Zach Bryan, Morgan wallen, warren zediers,... Just blah music. The food came fast but we ordered an appetizer and it didn't come, it was quickly resolved and the chef brought it out very quickly. The bathrooms were clean but one of the stall doors doesn't latch. I'm all for talking to co workers here and there. But my goodness there was a lot of chit chat and not paying attention to customers. Prime example... if a customer is at the bar and you're on the other side leaning, facing away from the customer, it's disrespectful. So yeah idk I'll still be coming back for...

Came in on a Friday and there were a few open tables. We were seated right away, but then waited a bit for our server to arrive to order our drinks. They took enough time to arrive that we started wondering if someone forgot, which was odd because our table was 4' from the bar area. That may have been the first sign.

As for the food, I ordered the wings and although the wings were small, there was no ranch, carrots or celery on the plate. I asked our server for some ranch and after 10 minutes of not seeing them return, I walked back near the kitchen area to ask someone coming out if they could get me some ranch which they kindly did. The wings tasted fine as did the chicken tenders that were also ordered. However, when the bill came, there were some extra items on our bill besides what we ordered (Two people in our party 2 meals, 2 soda is what we ordered). The bill showed another meal and also two drinks. I asked our server about the error and they were going to correct it and return. However, our server was not around for at least another 10 plus minutes. At that time, we decided to just leave and pay for the food that we had ordered and were served. Our server was very friendly and there appeared to be plenty of staff, so I'm not sure what the issue really was.

Red Rock Saloon was probably more deserving of a 2 star review on this visit. Their food was okay, and the issues we had were due to the no/slow service, which can easily be corrected. They also have a mechanical bull, so that is worth an extra star...
