5 stars are not enough to give a store with Soap Opera's customer service! Their earnestness, willingness to help and generosity is unparalleled to the point of almost soulful. And I've never stepped foot in their store, this is based on my online experience, which is even more impressive. I found them searching for scented shower gels. I reached out to asked about having them blend a custom scent, and they said they'd try. See below for a photo of the note that accompanied my package and free samples.(I redacted the specific scent I was trying to achieve.) Customer service is paramount, yet it becomes irrelevant if the products don't stand up, Soap Opera's tower, both in number of choices and quality! I lived in Madison from 5th grader until I graduated undergrad college in '78- my Dad taught at UW, Madison, Art Dept.- I remember when The Soap Opera started in the tiny corner store where The Peacock was-? (I think- ?so long ago!) I love, love, LOVE The Soap Opera! I always bought my favorites soaps and lotions throughout the years from The Soap Opera! The fragrances always bring good memories- and now memories of my youth- a German soap that was clear red in particular- YUM! Love that smell so much I could eat it!! Lol! My sister, her daughter and grandkids, (and a man friend also grew up in Madison from high school age- we all live in the SF Bay Area, CA now) are going back in a week for a reunion- wish I could afford to go too..but I started the trip vicariously, by looking you up! Yay! You're still there! First stop The Soap Opera!! LOVE...

Im very unhappy with how my situation was handled. We gifted my mom a scenting party for christmas thinking it would be an intimate fun event. We paid for the space after viewing their website (noting no minimum just a "suggested"). I was told to contact them to book the actual date. I tried calling twice first guy said they didn't have an events coordinator. Second one said they had one but they no longer work there but then came back and said they were out sick.. ok? Then I emailed. Finally recieved contact. I was informed there is a minimum number of people for a scent party. Never once was this indicated on their website.
