If you have ever been to McDonald's then you know exactly what this one is like. I guess there is a different set of people at this one, but other than that it is just like all the others.
One thing you don't want to do is to make a special order, like leave the cheese off a Big Mac. First it confuses the order taker and she is never quite sure what to do. This results in her calling a manager in order to ask him how to enter this unreasonable request into the computer. He, with the most condescending attitude, quickly enters something, and with a jerk of the head says, "There." Then hurries off with the air of importance that is becoming of an Assistant Manager at McDonald's.
With that your order is entered and you are given a number and consigned to wait with the other hapless individuals, all of whom are patiently waiting for their number to be called. Finally it is your turn, your number is called, you are handed a bag, which, presumably, contains the food you odered. You dutifully take it to your table, open your Big Mac, and there in all of its melted glory is a gooey square of American cheese, dripping from your hamburger.
You take it to the counter to point out that this is not what you ordered. The same assistant manager studies your receipt, and after careful inspection announces his findings, "No this is exactly what you ordered. If you had requested no cheese, it would have been entered into the computer and would have been printed on your receipt."
With a sense of quiet resignation, borne from the fact you are hungry and you just want to eat, you meekly take your sandwich and go to your...
Read moreI come from the food industry, from cashier to management - so I know how it all works. 1st. I come through the drive thru and ordered word for word a #2 QUARTER POUNDER MEAL with no onions or pickles, a happy meal for my son, and 5 HONEY MUSTARD SAUSES (all caps words are important info for later) - pull up and pay, pull up again to get the order (no issues so far) - man at the window hands out our drinks first, then my son's meal, and then mine - I checked bag just in case for the sauce, no sauce, so I politely asked if I can have the sauces I ordered, as he was grabbing them I checked my burger (again, just in case) and it was much smaller than a quarter pounder. So I asked him if this was a quarter pounder? I word for word said "I'm so sorry, I ordered a #2 quarter pounder meal, this one looks like a mcdouble (much smaller in size) is this correct? I know i ordered a #2 quarter pounder meal unless i read the number wrong?" He asked for my receipt and came back at me with "no this is a hamburger meal, you ordered it wrong". I was extremely baffled by how blatantly rude that comment was and how he said it. I'm legally blind..my apologies if I read the number wrong (insert sarcasm)..but I definitely said quarter pounder meal....and me being the pushover type and uncomfortable with conflict and rudeness I just said uhh alright, can I have my 5 sauces please. He said it's in the bag, nope...only 2 sauces....so I sucked it up and left.... came through today 5/15/2022 @ 2:35pm #1323 on the...
Read moreI'm not real impressed with this location lately. Twice in the past week I've had issues over iced coffee! Of all things. There were some other things but ehh. The coffee thing gets to me. First time, they said the coffee machine was down but several employees had coffees made for themselves and when I asked about it, the employee at the drive thru just stated she didn't know anything and laughed uncomfortably. I mean if you didn't want to make a coffee, just say so. It was literally a plain iced coffee with a shot of espresso. Basic... My world won't end because I couldn't get a coffee. But I feel like it's wrong to state it's "down" when the whole crew has fresh coffees. The second time, I made an online order for pickup, get there, they said the espresso machine was down for the extra shot I ordered, and it would be a 30 minute wait. They then asked if I just wanted a plain coffee, which I was like sure, no problem, but then they were not going to even attempt to give my money back for the expresso shot. Yeah it was $1.29, but still. Honestly I didn't care about the money, but the fact that they caught an attitude, I made sure to get my $1.29 back. The manager that did an override got annoyed with me over it and was kinda rude... I mean, it's MY money dude.... I feel the employees are always stressed and irritable at this location and for a fast food joint its like it's a hassle to...
