John's Pizza truly stands out in a crowded field of competitors, offering not just amazing pizza but also great wings that leave a lasting impression. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked dough and simmering sauces envelops you, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. Their pizza boasts a perfect crust that strikes the ideal balance between crispy and chewy, topped with a generous layer of flavorful sauce, high-quality cheese, and a wide variety of fresh toppings. Each bite delivers a burst of flavors that harmonizes beautifully, showcasing their commitment to quality ingredients and masterful preparation. But it's not just the pizza that makes John's a must-visit destination. Their wings are a revelation, perfectly cooked to achieve a crispy exterior while remaining juicy inside. The wings come in a range of sauces, each more delicious than the last, from classic buffalo to innovative creations that demonstrate the kitchen's culinary creativity. Service at John's Pizza is as impressive as their food. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to take pride in making sure every customer's experience is enjoyable. Whether you're dining in, taking out, or ordering delivery, the service is consistently excellent. In conclusion, John's Pizza is a gem that offers an unbeatable combination of delicious pizza, fantastic wings, and great service. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or just in search of a tasty meal, John's is a place that won't disappoint. It's clear why this spot has garnered such a loyal following - it's not just a meal, it's an experience.

Pizza was pretty good here. Tasty dough, more bready than I prefer. But hey, it’s a style, and they do the style well. You can build your own with the ingredients you like. Some mozza, mushrooms, artichokes, olives and basil on top. Really tasty. For some reason they cut up the basil and sprinkle it all over your pizza, hiding all your toppings. Sure, no problem ;-) The pizzas come in different sizes. We had Mediums of 12” (30cm). Good size, especially if you eat all the crust as well. Vibe is ‘interesting’. Expect multiple huge sized tv screens trying to grab your attention from all angles. Also pretty loud. So not the coziest or calmest to have a good conversation. More like a bar style pizza place. Enjoyed it here nevertheless!

Good pizza, great employees. For me the crust could be a little thinner. We had a wedge salad, pepperoni pizza, and a margarita pizza. Everything was cooked perfectly, the pizzas had a good flavor, not the best, and the salad was also good. All the flavors were common nothing over the top. If you go, there is a rule we didn't know about, you can't take your food into the bar. If you want to eat your pizza in the bar you need to order it there. If you want to bring your drink from the bar to the restaurant, that's alright. My suggestion is to order your pizza from the bar, no line to wait in. Ownership is very engaged in their business quality, thank you for the feedback, one more star.

Tremendously overpriced, with multiple add-on fees that aren’t published. There’s a 10% automatic gratuity fee added on, even for takeout orders. Then there’s the 3% credit card processing fee. The owner strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn’t think that any of the costs of operating a business should come out of his gross revenue. I was surprised to see that there wasn’t a flour fee assessed: he has to buy flour to make the pizza dough, so why not pass that onto the consumer as well? Nothing about the pricing schedule says “small business owner trying to get by in a resort town.” It just says, “greed.”

The inflated menu prices and add-on fees might have been acceptable if the food were especially good or the service warm; neither were the case. The garlic breadsticks were flavorless - imagine mixing flour, yeast, and water and then just throwing it in the oven. The pepperoni rolls were small in size and quantity for an absurd $14, and as a West Virginian, I would rank them as some of the worst pepperoni rolls I’ve had. It’s a snack made for coal miners - the bar isn’t that high, but John made sure to come below it and charge me through the nose for the privilege. The pizza was the most acceptable dish, but I’d only rate it as “fine.” I’ve had better from Pizza Hut, and I’ve had worse from NY pizza joints, so take with that what you will. The service was ice cold, with the young lady taking my order acting like she would rather be literally anywhere else than standing there collecting 10% commissions for using an iPad.

Overall, I’d recommend skipping this place and going to any of the numerous other establishments in Mammoth that have a higher quality product and service, and charge a much more...

Egregiously bad service. This is the first eatery review I've ever written.

Ordered a pizza for pick-up and the first thing was that they ended the call abruptly as I was trying to confirm whether they would use the phone number they asked for to call me when the pizza was ready.

40 minutes later they haven't called so I call them and they tell me the pizza is waiting. I walk over to the place and they tell me it has been sitting out 20 minutes. I let them know that I'm tired, having been driving 6 hours, and that I don't want to wait for them to prepare another pizza. I ask if instead they could give it to me half-off and the person working the cashier says that's ok.

At this moment a supervisor (owner?) walks by and asks what's happening. The cashier explains the situation and then this other guy overrides the cashier claiming that they told me on the phone it would be ready in 20-25 minutes (why do they ask for phone numbers if they don't call you when it's ready?).

At this point I just wanted my lukewarm, mediocre pizza and thought I'd make a last ditch effort to get the half-price by saying I would file a complaint for bait-and-switch if they didn't give me the price quoted by the cashier (I have no idea what the actual legality would be) and after that the manager/owner said who would not even sell it to me at full price and asked me to leave.

I ate there once before and I found the pizza itself to be ok by my standards, but it seems that it gets overcrowded for the staff that they have who then exhibit some difficulties holding...
