Tremendously overpriced, with multiple add-on fees that aren’t published. There’s a 10% automatic gratuity fee added on, even for takeout orders. Then there’s the 3% credit card processing fee. The owner strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn’t think that any of the costs of operating a business should come out of his gross revenue. I was surprised to see that there wasn’t a flour fee assessed: he has to buy flour to make the pizza dough, so why not pass that onto the consumer as well? Nothing about the pricing schedule says “small business owner trying to get by in a resort town.” It just says, “greed.”
The inflated menu prices and add-on fees might have been acceptable if the food were especially good or the service warm; neither were the case. The garlic breadsticks were flavorless - imagine mixing flour, yeast, and water and then just throwing it in the oven. The pepperoni rolls were small in size and quantity for an absurd $14, and as a West Virginian, I would rank them as some of the worst pepperoni rolls I’ve had. It’s a snack made for coal miners - the bar isn’t that high, but John made sure to come below it and charge me through the nose for the privilege. The pizza was the most acceptable dish, but I’d only rate it as “fine.” I’ve had better from Pizza Hut, and I’ve had worse from NY pizza joints, so take with that what you will. The service was ice cold, with the young lady taking my order acting like she would rather be literally anywhere else than standing there collecting 10% commissions for using an iPad.
Overall, I’d recommend skipping this place and going to any of the numerous other establishments in Mammoth that have a higher quality product and service, and charge a much more...

Read moreEgregiously bad service. This is the first eatery review I've ever written.
Ordered a pizza for pick-up and the first thing was that they ended the call abruptly as I was trying to confirm whether they would use the phone number they asked for to call me when the pizza was ready.
40 minutes later they haven't called so I call them and they tell me the pizza is waiting. I walk over to the place and they tell me it has been sitting out 20 minutes. I let them know that I'm tired, having been driving 6 hours, and that I don't want to wait for them to prepare another pizza. I ask if instead they could give it to me half-off and the person working the cashier says that's ok.
At this moment a supervisor (owner?) walks by and asks what's happening. The cashier explains the situation and then this other guy overrides the cashier claiming that they told me on the phone it would be ready in 20-25 minutes (why do they ask for phone numbers if they don't call you when it's ready?).
At this point I just wanted my lukewarm, mediocre pizza and thought I'd make a last ditch effort to get the half-price by saying I would file a complaint for bait-and-switch if they didn't give me the price quoted by the cashier (I have no idea what the actual legality would be) and after that the manager/owner said who would not even sell it to me at full price and asked me to leave.
I ate there once before and I found the pizza itself to be ok by my standards, but it seems that it gets overcrowded for the staff that they have who then exhibit some difficulties holding...
