The Hop Knot Manchester NH for a couple pints & a taster of a bad ass 10%ABV stout. On my search for the best beer bars & taprooms in my home state of New Hampshire & New England I started closer to home in southern, NH. Some have been much better than others, carrying not only some good New England staples, but also offering a nice revolving tap list. The Hop Knot is one of those places that had a great variety, revolving taps & around five beers I hadn't had to throw back into my beak. I stayed mostly on the lighter side of beer while I was here since I had another spot to hit after & was driving, but everything I got was excellent. I had heard some positive things about the pretzels, which there was a good number of styles of, but first the beer. 💪🍺🍻🔥
I started off my visit with a pint of a excellent Vienna Lager called HIGH FIVE SATURDAY from To Share Brewing Company that was super crisp, refreshing & the perfect beer to start my day with. My second pint was the GRATEFUL DEAD JUICY PALE ALE by Dogfish Head that was definitely juicy as described & reminded me more of a lower ABV% NEIPA, but still retained the pale ale styles taste & consistency. I ended my trip with a 4oz taster of the BLACK BEAR (2024) Imperial Stout from Great North Aleworks that kept up with the previous years offerings & was dangerously smooth for a 10%ABV. 🍺🍻💪
Offering a good amount of hightops to sit at with a decently large bar to boot. I had a hour & 30min to kill so I ordered the Italian stuffed pretzel with pepperoni & mozzarella. It was delicious & pretty much a full meal. They didn't skimp on the roni or cheese, this thing was truly stuffed to the brim with that goodness & came with a fat side of marinara. The bartender Jared was friendly, talkative & very accommodating checking up on me just the right amount of times throughout my duration there. Definitely a fun spot for sure & I'll make my way back eventually when I've exhausted the new bars I haven't been to in the Manchester area.✌♥️🍺🥨
PRETZELGASM RATING - 69/75. 🍻🍻🍻🥨🥨🥨💦💦💦✌♥️🍻

Their sandwiches are delicious, and the pretzel-crust pizzas are uniquely amazing, such a fun twist you don’t find anywhere else. Pair that with great drinks and a welcoming atmosphere, and you can’t go wrong.
We especially love their Thursday trivia nights, they’re always a blast and make the whole place come alive. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the vibe is just right for everything from a casual night out to a fun group gathering.
What makes it even more special is that The Hop Knot is absolutely a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, while still being welcoming to all. Between the food, drinks, inclusivity, and community feel, The Hop Knot has easily become one of our top go-to spots in Manchester....
Read moreI'm not a fan of bread but my partner loves it, so here we are; that being said, my goodness Hop Knot is YUM. The pretzel texture is so chewy-soft like mochi but far from undercooked, still firm. Exactly what I craved to sink my teeth into.
Thank you to Gerald/Jerry(? I'm so sorry) and Kenny for being so warm and welcoming. I had a great time devouring the VegHead pretzel pizza, and pretzel hotdog with a red ale, and for dessert Cinnamon Sugar pretzel. For dipping, Kenny recommended House Maple Cream, and wow it was so delicious! Subtly sweet and whipped!
There was a curious "cheesecake" beer that really tasted creamy, reminded me of a cherry Danish pastry. Also, there are board games available at the front entrance! Very clean restrooms too! Favorited this spot to...
