Totally Nuts & Company — Restaurant in Manitou Springs

Stopped at this very cute hut for some sweet treats. I was hopeful that they had actual shave ice as they had it spelled “shave ice,” but no… it was super chunky, blendered ice. My kiddo had a hard time chewing the ice because it was so crunchy and hard (Hawaiian shave ice has a much softer, flaky consistency as it’s shaved off of a huge block of ice.) My crepe was very disappointing too. It took almost 15 minutes- we were the only customers at the time. It was thick like a pancake and the toppings were a big, sloppy, soggy mess. I had the lemon & blueberry one and couldn’t take more than a few bites. It was like they warmed frozen blueberries and dumped them on top because there was so much liquid on everything. Went yesterday after incline and saw fresh squeezed lemonade was on the menu. My friend got a lavender lemonade that tasted like country made lemonade with NO lavender flavor at all. She had asked for half sweet and they fought her saying she “wouldn’t like it half sweet”. I asked for no ice in mine and she said, again, “you wouldn’t like it with no ice.” If they had explained why, I may have accepted it, but they were pretty rude and just said “we won’t make it with no ice.” So I said no thank you. While my friend and I sat waiting for her disappointing drink, I could hear the employees making fun of us for asking for half sweet and no ice like we weren’t sitting right there. Sunday, my son and my daughter bought 2 hot chocolate: one lavender flavored and one chocolate while I was sitting on the front of the place. When I checked my bank account this morning, I had a pending charge for 17.49 cents. I checked few minutes ago at 7:50 p.m., and they charged me over 20 dollars. So this place steals money from me? Over 20 dollars 2 hot chocolates? Really? 20 bucks for 2 hot chocolate. That's is ridiculous. Go and work and see how hard is to work for money. Don’t you ever still money from consumers.
