This was my first time here. I drove my truck in to give my order over the loudspeaker. Here is where the bed experience began!
No one acknowledged that I was waiting to order so I called hello. Although I stayed there for about 1 and 1/2 minutes and called hello more than four times no one ever acknowledged with a reply!
I could do nothing but pull the truck forward and hope that if I went down to the pickup window they would understand why I had not been allowed to order.
But as I pulled away I Heard a Voice call from the loudspeaker. I stopped the truck but could not backup because a car had pulled in behind me thinking that I had already given my order.
So I had to shout out the window backwards and try to have her understand what I wanted and in return try to hear what she was saying.
Because it was too difficult to hear and to be heard I kept the order at one item and did not get the additional items that I also had wanted to order.
When I got to the pickup window and handed my credit card to the cashier I supposed I was way out of bounds in asking to please make sure there were napkins in the bag because when I did get back home I found a ball of napkins that looked as if someone had run around in the parking lot and scooped up a bunch of napkins it were blowing in the wind!!
I had never received napkins in a ball of wrinkled but always in a flat orderly stack.
On top of it all there was no receipt for my credit card in the bag!!
Part of that I admit it is my fault but I was really angry by that time and all I wanted to do was get my food and get out of there!
But these days you don't leave a credit card receipt with the last 4 digits on it lying around in some place of business unless you're looking for possible identity theft.
So just this morning I called the manager at that KFC in Cortaro and yes she did listen to my list of complaints but was unable to recover yesterday's receipt.
I asked her what the charge would have been for the package that I ordered and she told me and I said I will call Visa and see if it has been posted because I didn't even know what I was charged yesterday who wants to do business like that certainly not me.
I did thank the manager because she did listen to everything I had to say and she tried to be helpful and I wound up saying to her I will try that location one more time and if anything like this goes wrong then I'm not going to give you my business and I told her I am looking for a KFC that I can go to regularly.
And the worst news of all was of the five Kentucky Fried Chicken locations in the Tucson area this Cortaro location had a 3 out of 5 Stars while the OTHER FOUR locations ranged frrom 1.9 to below 3!!
Can anyone tell me what has happened to Kentucky Fried Chicken?
When you've got five locations, and only one has achieved a 3-star rating while the other four are below three you're not just talking about the workers---now you have to be looking at the MANAGERS--- and ultimately the DISTRICT MANAGER! !!
What a bad-surprise organization KFC has turned...
Read moreWe went in there to have lunch. The lady behind the counter spent a while telling us what they DIDN'T have that was on the menu. Corn, Pepsi, etc. my husband had a three price meal that came out old, there was very little dried out meat left on the bones. I wanted to try the new "bowl" that was on all the pictures everywhere. No, I could have it because they didn't have corn. I settled for a pot pie. As we sat and ate, my husband said, "what is that on the floor?". Luckily we were about ready to walk out or I would have left my food without eating it... It was a roach! I even took a photo, I'll try to post it on this review. I returned to them a bad survey. 5 days later (on a Sunday!) I get a call from a guy who identified himself as the general manager. He listened and at the end, he convinced me that all the problems had been addressed as he was new in charge and making everything "right". I agreed to let him make us another order with a "new bowl" to try since he ordered all ingredients into the store since then. Long story short, he wasn't there when I went in to meet him! I left my number with the lady behind the counter but I never heard from him. Between the roach, the bad food, not having Pepsi!, and the "big" manager that wasn't there to meet me, I give up! KFC all through my growing up years was a treat when mom and dad took us there... now it's the opposite! Don't go there. I don't suspect any of the KFC restaurants are any better. I'll go to churches or Popeyes chicken from now on. I suggest...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst! 1st, i was trying to decide between KFC and Popeyes. KFC coleslaw swayed me. So stopped at KFC on Cortaro near Walmart. Walked in and saw 4 othet gentelman in various states of concern. I approached the cntr and a young lady offered to take my order. After acing my order 2 of the guys said to have a seat as they had been waiting almost an hour already. After about 15 minutes more, the 2 gentleman were still there with me. I asked why they had not asked for refund and leave. One said try and see what happens. So I did! The same girl said OK, but I would need to go on line to process the request. Stores don't refund directly. I had never heard a fast food chain require that. But there is more... It may take 3 weeks or more! So I felt trapped just like the othe 8 patrons there. After, another 3 customers had joined the crowd of patron in this "Roach Motel" I heard the final straw! The female clerk told the last customers to enter and place their order, "sorry we don't have any coleslaw!" I thought, wait you didn't tell me that. So I jumped up and asked why she didn't say something to me when I was ordering it. She said sorry and I could ask for the refund on line.
It took another 32 minutes in all to get my order, finally! About the coleslaw... the girl substituted 2 pieces of chicken. Final issues... My thing.... I asked forregular, but got extra crispy, and my wife threw away the receipt, so no refund.
BUT...
