We love Costco deli pizza, but our experience yesterday was outrageous. It used to be that you could place your order, recieve a number, and 20 minutes later, you'd be enjoying that low-cost meal. Now... you stand in line at a kiosk to place your order, stand in line to get your drink cups, and then stand in another line to pick up the rest of your meal... if it's ready. I placed my order, finally picked up my drink cups, went to the other window (where people were just standing around waiting for their orders, no line) to see how long the wait for a whole pizza was, while the lady behind the counter was calling "285" (my number was 349). She says it's a 40 minute-wait. At that point, I've already been waiting for 20 minutes, ok. The whole time, she's calling numbers, still calling 285. I wait for about 18 minutes, and then all of a sudden, I now have to wait in line behind 9 other people to pick up my pizza that should be prepared by now. It takes 15 minutes to get back up to the window to see if my pizzas are now ready, and she's still calling number 285. I hand her my receipt, and she irritatingly takes it and reads my number and looks at me like I've done something wrong. She turns to the other lady behind the counter and says, "This order isn't ready. Can I just give her this 285 order?" The other lady responds, "of course, let's get these orders passed through." I told her this whole system has recently become very inefficient. In which, she says, "Sorry." As if, I was wrong for saying anything at all. I wasn't saying that for an apology, I said that so that management could recognize the problem and FIX IT.
Atmosphere: I arrived right at 5pm. The tables were all dirty, there was trash and crumbs on most of them, and trash on the floor. The refreshments area is not kept stocked or cleaned. Many of the sodas were pouring just water, and 2 of the ice machines were empty.
We were going to eat there, but quickly changed our minds after the service, and the atmosphere.
Lack of quality employees, lack of efficiency, lack of products. Costco seems to not care for their employees or the customers, only for their CEO/CFO pocketbook....
Read moreOh, hey remember when phone orders for #costco pizza were welcome? Yeah, NOT ANYMORE! Now they only take orders of FIVE pizzas or more. So those of you who are hungry and want to phone in a pizza order and run by Costco on Friday night, pick up a few things, and then grab your pizza, CAN'T. You have to order at the KIOSK. Pay at the KIOSK and then wait FORTY minutes in line while your frozen food melts. Not only that, but they don't go by number, they go by how long you've WAITED. Until they don't and the guy who just left the kiosk walks up and gets two pizzas even though you've been sitting there HANGRY for 30 minutes. AAAAAARRRRGGG! Costco keeps getting worse. Good job, Costco. You keep doing all the things to discourage us from shopping there because YOUR JUST TOO BUSY instead of opening another store or being open longer hours. I guess you just don't want to pay more people or overtime so you'll make the shopping experience more, and more MISERABLE for everyone! I have heard you can hack the system by ordering 5 pizzas and "returning" the ones you don't...
Read moreThe food is excellent for the price. My biggest problem is the self serve kiosk. Placing your order is easy enough but standing in line, forever, not knowing which is the correct line then handing them your receipt. Then waiting again while they fill your order is a big time suck. At the grant road store, you can place your order at the self serve kiosk and within a minute your number is called and your order is ready. I don't know why they don't use this system in Marana. I did notice a cash only line which was empty. I recommend anyone eating here bring cash until they get the system...
