Hello staff and Owner I have eaten at the SR 84 Diner several times sometimes in the off hours which is great the staff is always pleasant and the food is always oh!! spot on and as you can see and read the reviews are rockin and at the other three restaurants the reviews are 50 / 50 so it says a lot that the staff at the Margate, Pompano Beach and Sunrise restaurants need to pick up the best and perhaps change the demographics to a younger crowd at least from Thursday, Friday, Saturday and late Sunday Night, and to update the diners a bit more up beat as well, like te doing the staff uniforms, the tops can be a ray of sorted colors and pants and skirts can stay in the black

Yes, I most definitely will do, I went into Lester’s Diner. On thanksgiving evening November 23, 2023 and the time arrived was about 7:30 PM a normal dinner time time frame, I was greeted at the door given my table I sat by the window the diner was not crowded at all, as a matter of fact the temperature was so low you felt you were in Alaska and the only other customers were senior citizens on there website the diner states closing time is 10;00PM so I thought I made good timing for a nice thanksgiving special dinner…… So low and behold after I had just finished my small salad the waitress comes with my entree and put it on the table and she has the audacity to inform me that the diner is closed for the night, and I just got there it took the waitress about five minutes later after I sat at my table to come back and ask me what I wanted to drink so I told her a Diet Pepsi and a water, I proceeded to tell the waitress that I know what I want to order and I told her roast turkey special since it was thanksgiving evening with two sides the broccoli with cheddar cheese and the potato salad. So when my food order came to the table the waitress informed me that were closed, so then after a few seconds I got very upset about this so when you read between the lines basically she was stating for me to ram my entree down my throat and rush my dessert and coffee which I never got to order so that I could enjoy my piece of apple pie with whipped cream so instead I waved for some one from the register to come by table and I told them to pack up my food in a travel container because I never got to enjoy thanksgiving dinner at Lester’s diner and they have the nerve to charge me $ 32.00 and I was even rushed out the door, never again will i set foot in this diner, I will be visiting this Lester’s diner to get a refund for the food I was charged only to be told to ram-my food down my throat because I never got to eat my thanksgiving special at the table, I in my lifetime have never ever been told to rush my food and get out because the restaurant is closed for the evening, it stead they would tell me to enjoy my food order and sometimes the waiter or one of the other employees would sit with me until I finished my meal with my coffee and dessert and I would be happy to pay my bil and leave a generous tip I didn’t leave one for this miserable waitress who has no experience as a waitress and also no class, if you’re business is open to serving customers then that’s what you suppose to do otherwise if your closing in less than 30 minutes then respectfully you should inform the customer and he(she would turn around and go somewhere else to eat…. I’ve worked in retail and in food establishments and in hotels and I’ve had the unpleasant experience to state to a customer that we’re closed early or closed for the night. It’s just very sad how this establishment treats there customers with no respect or dignity even to handicapped seinors…..so future customers be weary and aware before you step into this Lester’s diner on coconut creek parkway in Margate, Florida. That’s all I needed to mention… hopefully the owner and mgmt team will train there staff to treat there customers with a lot more friendly service and attention, to there customers…. Have a...

9/03/2025 It truly shocks the conscience to be a solo lunch diner- me- at Margate location only to be mocked and bullied by the rude, older waitress there with dark hair. I know her from the past when she waited on me. Today I even told her I knew her yet she continued to bully me. Terrible!

Update: On 9/03/2025 I came to this Margate location alone fir lunch. Servers are not properly trained. Greek male manager who always ignores me (and I am Greek, too) was not in but I saw the supervisor in rear of store not far from my small solo booth. I was seated facing west (towards rear of stire). My server was pleasant. Soup (large) was Matzo Ball soup. Open-faced turkey sandwich would have been a little better had my server actually brought out the "dark" spicy mustard I asked for bug she did not reappear w/ the mustard. Nobody asked how my meal was. Nobody cares. It is probably fair to say I was "slummin'" by coming over here to Margate from the more upscale city I live in. Noise from a booth behind me located in middle of dining room was way too loud and ruined my dining atmosphere. Those other customers at said booth behind me had someone- an Adult- on a personal cellphone which was on Soeakerohone very loud as they conversed on said Soeakerphone. I protested to this noise torture in the establishment and the older dark-haired Server, who I recall had served me at least twice in past here, did not take my complaint seriously, told me "they are Deaf" to try to shut me up, then when I properly confronted her about her lying about them being deaf, she began mocking me saying in a mocking tone "of, you're so sweet, you're so sweat." The level of rudeness by the older waitress (who knew she would be so disrespectful ... me to me?) was "second to none." Mentioned thd rudeness, lie, and unwillingness to help at checkout ti young Cashier who, as before (past here), only had excuses even saying "it is hard for them to tell a customer not to emit blaring Noise in dining room from a speakerphone] and there was no apology for this terrible e Terrence. Meanwhile the dark-haired Server had a field day mocking me and telling me off while I was not the individual disrupting other paying customers' dining experience. Cashier seemed to be telling me it is too hard for the employees to do what, I think, is well within the scope of their duties. It is difficult to be treated with so little respect, treated "like Dirt," actually. Anyway, this is a has been placd where the homeless come to eat. Very low brow place.

Try starting w/ Lester's soup. An open-faced Turkey Sandwich usually hits the spot after that. It comes w/ gravy so today I asked for the gravy to be on the side. I also asked for my sandwich bread to be Rye but that part was forgotten, and therefore, not honored. The Lester's on Coconut Creek Parkway is...

I've been eating at Lester's for 3 years. It's in my neighborhood, the food is good and it's affordable. 4 of us eat there for about 80$ and the meals are big with usually 2 sides and a salad. Lately (past 6 months or so) things have been missing or wrong from my order. (I order from there once a week to once every 2 weeks) so the last 6 months or so they have forgotten things like the salad dressing or the side broccoli or the bread, just little things which I made them aware of but never made them replace specially since I take out the food and Sometimes I'm on my way to work after I bring my family their food and I didn't have the time to go do back there and wait yet again.. About a few weeks ago I ordered 5 dinners one being my regular Shrimp scampi and stuffed mushroom dinner. Which is about 21$. I get it with melted Swiss which is about 2$ more. My dinner came with no shrimp no Swiss ( that I was charged for) no shrimp scampi sauce. I called and complained but I was on my way to work so I did not have time to go back to the restaurant. The person I spoke with on the phone apologized and said they would give me a credit for the meal. I asked if I needed to keep my receipt or bring back the food. She said no, that the credit was in their computer under my phone number. I asked if she was sure? She reassured me that I needed nothing but me phone number. A could of weeks pass I call them to place an order. I give them my phone number and I let them know there should be a credit to apply to my total. They can't find the credit so the young lady on the phone gets her manager. We go back and forth. I almost cancelled the order all together. I explained to the manager that I felt as if he were blaming me for this issue when it was clearly a problem in the training of the staff. The manager agreed and then told me that he usually doesn't give credits specially without a receipt but that because he can see in the computer that I'm such a good customer he'll make an "exception" this one time. When I went there to pick up my 80$ worth of food it was shown to me that he gave me a 5$ credit. A 5$ credit on a 20$+ meal that had more than 50% of it incorrect or missing to a customer that had spend 160$ with you a month for 3 years. Honestly as a consumer I'm just tired of being treated like an asshole at places where I spend my hard earned money. Needless to say I tipped the girl 8$ I gave the manager 5$ and told him not to worry about the 5$ credit or about me ordering from...

Lester’s Diner In Margate is a Definite Go-To Restaurant! Five (5) of us drove down from Boca Raton in search of the Diner after deciding we wanted to have a “Comfort Food Meal”. We arrived at 6:15om to see several patrons waiting outside. We presented ourselves to the very pleasant Cashier / Hostess who told us we couldn’t be immediately seated and our wait would be “… in a bit!” Which we loved. Within 10 minutes we were seated in a booth that reminded us of the TV Show “Happy Days” and the diner / hangout featured in the town. Menu’s we’re already scattered on the table; nice touch; and within a minute our waitress appeared with napkins / cutlery and her nite pad to take our initial drink orders; which she returned with, in a few minutes. After reviewing the menu, we all opted for something different. I had the mushroom stuffed with seafood & shrimp on the side and was amazed to receive seven (7) shrimp when my order arrived - along with two (2) sides - lettuce & tomatoes plus great mashed with gravy. Other orders were their grilled liver; open face hot turkey sandwich; Cobb salad & meat loaf. Every one of us said our dishes were served hot and absolutely DELISH & of ample sizes. A few of us also sampled their chicken matzoh ball soup which was also really enjoyed. We never bothered to ask if any bread was available as the main courses were so filling. Our bill for five (5) was $90.00 and we were close to being stuffed. This is definitely a Diner we will return to furious stay in Southern FL. Worth the wait & price!

Do yourself a favor and don't get breakfast food here. This is not a yummy breakfast food diner. Maybe they were back in the day but now their breakfast is tasteless and OVERTLY EXPENSIVE. Tell me how you would make an avacodo bacon omelette? Put the avocado in the omelette? Exactly. I was given a gigantic omelette filled with bacon and a small bowl with HALF an avocado, not even sliced. For and extra $3!? I could buy a full avocado at Publix right now for $1! Then they charged me $8 for a fruit bowl, which the server specifically said was not a side, it was a big bowl. NOPE. This was the size of a sliced banana. Just completely outrageous. The bacon was undercooked and still stuck together. The white toast was untoasted with some liquid butter on it and the whole wheat was hard as a rock. This is the cheapest bread you can find? It tastes like cardboard. The toast should have real butter and spread evenly. NOT THIS liquid, oily, crapt. The home fries are so big you have to cut them in quarters yourself. CUT THE POTATOES before you cook them! The potato's were undercooked as well even after we asked for extra crispy. We were really looking forward to this breakfast. Just stop advertising that you are a breakfast diner. Just do lunch and dinner if you can't do simple food well. I could've made a better quality meal at home.

Located along Coconut Creek Parkway, Lester's is a large diner offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. There's plenty of table seating accommodating over 200 people. With more people steadily coming in, I approached a friendly female employee and stated that I wanted to place an order to go. She asked me if I knew what I wanted. After replying that I wanted French toast, the employee asked me if I wanted a short stack (2 slices) or full stack (3 slices). I then asked if the French toast was served with anything and she replied that it's just the French toast. She then explained that I can order the 2-2-2 (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 bacon slices or sausage links) and substitute the pancakes for French toast for $1. That was good enough for me. Wait time was about 10-15 minutes. Once I received my order, I hurried home to enjoy my breakfast. The bacon was crispy. The scrambled eggs was well prepared. The French toast was decent. The egg batter used to coat the bread didnt have that vanilla and cinnamon flavor I love in a French toast, but at least it didn't have an eggy look and taste. The food was filling and satisfying. Hopefully I can make some time to dine in and try another dish.
