I don't understand why this place is still in business. Some time ago, I went to the Popeye's Chicken on Cobb Parkway store #12856, order #39, but I can't recall whether the cashier # was displayed on the receipt for just under $20. I ordered 2 different combos: a four piece and a two piece, each with a drink. When I reached the pickup window, I was charged $.70 extra for each drink! (An extra $1.40) even though they were to be included with the combo! I complained and was told they didn't have the drink that came with the combo. I told the employee that I should not bear the expense of what they didn't have as they advertised, and I should have been told that when I placed the order, telling the cashier that I shouldn't be charged because they ran short of what they advertised as included, and any substitution that would have to be charged should have been passed by me first before they charged me; that it was not right to charge me extra without my consent. But there was no offer to refund my money at all. The problem didn't end there.
When I got home with my orders there was only one order separated into two boxes! When I called to complain I was asked for my "access code"! I had no clue what that should be, and I had no information to enter, and the call was disconnected. I called another number from online (I think they were the same) and the same thing happened. I'm so fed up with dealing with these fast-food places with the non-working numbers; help that are lazy or tired or overworked and underpaid, or simply don't give a hoot what kind of service they provide. I don't know what the real issue is except very poor help! The only bright spot I can relay is after I drove the 3 miles back to complain, I was met by a manager who was very empathetic.
He dropped his head onto his hand in disbelief when he saw that my order (the second order) was nothing but a cold bag of fries and heard what had occurred. The fries which I returned I know wasn't even mine to begin with! They had been included with my son's order as a second side which he had not even ordered. My order had simply been left off entirely except for the drink! The manager did his best to rectify the situation in order to make the customer happy. He did, and my hat is off to him only, for having to deal with such an incompetent staff and doing his best to keep his customers happy and coming back! I wonder who hired the employee as it seems there is a daylight and dark difference between management...
Read moreBefore I get to my complaint let my say that for the last three, four months I have had nothing but great food from this establishment. My granddaughter likes to stop here when I am taking her to work. She orders the shrimp meal and it is always on point, crispy, tender, hot and fresh. I would hit her up for one every so often. I would get the five dollar four piece spicy chicken 🐔 deal. Always hot fresh crispy tender juicy and spicy. My problem came when I ordered the shrimp meal for myself. The shrimp crust was hard and the shrimp was not even chewable it was that tough. I figured that they had left it on the heating lights too long and they dried out and over cooked. You don't want to cook shrimp too long because they began to get tough. My onion rings were perfect so that kinda made u for the shrimp that no one could have eaten. Things happen sometimes. My service was so favorable up to that point that I gave it a pass. Today however was different. I was still going to this same restaurant and getting GREAT food and service. Today I got the 4 for five dollars meal as usual, expecting to dig into a got juicy meal with jalapeno peppers. The first two small pieces were dry but editable. I looked into the box 📦 and what did I see? A fresh crispy thigh and a old dry overcooked, freezerburned looking piece of something. Nobody should have served that old nasty piece of yuck too their worst enemy. I didn't even want to think about it touching the pieces that I already had eaten. I have a photo of this whatever it was and I am trying to post it for others to see. I was already down the freeway when I saw that thing. I like the restaurant and don't think that I will stop going there. I will from now on check out what they are putting in my box. That could get someone fired because you just don't serve old food to hurry up and...
Read moreMy stop entailed an uneventful visit. I entered the establishment and the first encounter was a young male cashier whose badge displayed the name of (Boston). It was obvious that (Boston) was not happy to perform his responsibilities as a cashier and to greet customers and take the customers orders. He moved at a snail's pace and looked as though he didn't want to be there. It took longer than necessary to get my small order. I'm not sure if this employee has a communicating problem with people in general or if he just didn't want to communicate at all. There weren't many customers inside nor was there a line of cars at drive-thru, so the long wait was inexcusable and so was the behavior of (Mr. Boston), because he didn't appear to have a speech impediment or a problem in processing customers requests. My impression was that "Boston" was simply lazy.
The interior visibly could have used some attention applied to the messy conditions, and there appeared to be more than enough employees on staff who seemed to not know exactly why they were there or if they should even work. There was an employee working and peering from behind trays of chicken, she displayed employee etiquette with a pleasant greeting, so I assume she was a manager or team leader, however, she needed a team as dedicated as she to serve which is company policy.
I suggest that Management of this particular store should have a group meeting on how their employees should represent the franchise and improve on how long a customer should wait for the orders they've paid for "in advance"., p.s., The three 🌟is for the...
