Just had a late lunch with Veronica & her charming family….what a treat. If you like fresh, healthy, homemade Mexican cuisine then you are in the right place..cozy!. Sooo delicious! Spotless kitchen. We sat at the bar & got to watch them at their culinary craft making the homemade tortillas (YUM) Everything is made to order. Started with HOMEMADE Guacamole (WOW) then we each tried something different..I had the Flautas & Rick had the tacos…we saw someone having a small bowl of what looked like soup.. It was HOMEMADE consommé for dipping…made fresh this morning. Veronica brought over fresh cut onion, cilantro, & lime to squeeze…& we dipped our tacos & flautas MUI BIEN! Oh, & their sauces are all homemade..Salsa verde (my favorite)…and more. We chatted with Veronica & her lovely daughters about their breakfast menu…including their coffee. Veronica was so proud of her homemade brew that she’s perfected over the years…we’re heading back to try it…Cocina de la Tia is a real “gem”. And their smiles are priceless! You HAVE to try them. Read moreFrom the pictures it looks like this restaurant has really good food and good vibes but I was very underwhelmed. The front girl had an attitude from the moment walked in. While the vibes and vibrant colors are nice, they play very loud banda music that is guaranteed to give you a headache and you won’t hear what the person at the other end of the table is saying. More importantly, the food is really bad. The beans have no flavor at all, they forgot to even add salt! Canned beans are way better than this. What a joke. Tortillas are store bought. The meat is overcooked and tastes dry. My husband said “how can chipotle taste better...

I also tried the torta de asada, and it was just as impressive. The bread was incredibly soft and airy, packed with generous portions of tender, well-seasoned steak. They certainly don’t skimp on the fillings, making every bite satisfying.
With food this good, I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican flavors with the convenience of online ordering, this spot...
