This happened a few years ago and we have never been back.
We're pretty familiar with Jimmie John's. I've only been here once where the sandwich was done before I got my drink (1 out of 5 times). It's been empty all times I've been in there. The sandwiches are good, but what really got this place a one star was its inept employees on a delivery order.
We called for delivery and told them as much more than a few times during the call, because the employee kept asking for our address and number numerous times throughout the call (at least three times).
An hour later no food. We're less than 2.5 miles away. I could have gone there and came back a ton of times. We called back and they told us we changed our order. We didn't.
It took another 30 minutes for them to delivery something less than 3 miles away. I was about to head out the door to get some food somewhere else when they showed up.
So Jimmie John's reputation lies in how fast you'll get your food when you're in the store. The delivery fell flat on its face, thanks to the incompetence of its employees.
So the owner calls me up to 'correct' the situation after I let corporate know how crappy the experience was... you know corporate forced him to call.
I told him everything that happened, not expecting a free meal or anything; it wasn't my goal They wasted an hour and half of time that could have been spent somewhere else.. His response to the employee "changing" our order was that she said we changed it and stated that no matter what, that the customer is always right (ie, I believe my incompetent employee and I'm forced to make this call). We never changed it.
Instead of saying, my employee messed up, I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen again, he passively blamed it on us, and made the call because corporate forced him too.
No thanks on the $15 voucher.
My wife grew up in the midwest and was a fan of Jimmie Johns until this experience and we definitely haven't...
Read moreTerrible experience. Store fairly empty. Order a chicken cheesesteak. Kid taking order very inattentive. Ask me same questions multiple times. It took 15 minutes for sub to be ready. I take the sub in a bag and go home to enjoy my sandwich. Once I got home and opened the bag the sub is about 4 in long and it's a terrible wrapping job whoever made the sandwich when I open a sandwich shop instead of being a chicken cheesesteak it is a beef cheesesteak in which I don't eat beef. I drove 20 minutes back to Jimmy John's in Columbia in a store manager which is eating at a back table at the restaurant she just tells me to put the sandwich over there and give you my money back she was very rude I used to frequent dislocation a lot I will not be coming here anymore due to the new staff and very rude and inattentive...
Read moreThis was a very unwelcoming experience for me. The woman here was not very polite and they failed to get my order correct after I specifically gave the toppings choice. Not only was I ignored, but I was given a look as if I was not supposed to be here by the woman at the register, hmm wondering could their had been a race issue???? I simply will never know. I started to just leave. The sandwich was very bland. Firehouse subs and Subway are 10× better than this place. Was going to call in an order for a business luncheon/committee this week but I've changed my mind going somewhere else. I will definitely let others know my experience with this place. No one deserves to be treated with disrespect, when spending their hard earned cash, especially by a minor. Very...
