After pulling into one of the drive up slots on a not busy day , we pushed the button several times and did not get any service after about a 10-minute wait despite the prompt confirming we had pushed the button , and although others who came after us were already receiving food. So we finally pulled out and drove up to the drive-thru. The new 3.99 chicken tender commercial led us to believe there was some sort of dinner special but after inquiring were told it was just three tenders on an ala carte menu, not a special . the tenders were okay, price was not really that good of a deal for 3 small tenders. We also ordered onion rings and fried pickles. The fried pickles were undercooked. The batter was still mushy and tasted terrible. the onion rings were cooked but had an odd taste. it tasted like they were cooking Donuts in the onion ring and fried pickle grease. They didn't give us the sauces we requested for our tenders either. Years ago I wished we had a sonic near us every time I saw a commercial. Be careful what you wish for. Shortly after this one at Golden Ring opened, I went there to try it out and was so disappointed in the visit that I haven't been back in all these years . Now I'm sorry that I bothered. We won't be going back again. We Didn't get a receipt, probably because they didn't want us to call the location or go online and complain . To add insult to injury, after checking the website we see that sonic WAS offering a 3.99 complete dinner at that location, But they ripped us off and all we got was ala carte tenders! We also saw them go around to several cars to deliver an order and after one of the customers handled the order they took it back because it wasn't theirs . glad they didn't bring us our order after someone had...

I pull into the parking lot and since it was night you couldnāt park at the stalls and had to wait in the drive thru line, which was very long. I looked for an option to refund because I didnāt want to wait & there was no option so I just waited. Then I finally get to the speaker at 10:32. Tell them I have a Mobile order for Samantha and they donāt even look at it and just tell me to pull forward. Make it to the window and someone finally comes over at 10:43 & tried to give me the person behind me order. I explained again that I had a mobile order and they told me they were out of tea. I said okay just give me the blast and refund the tea. The shift manager Dominique argued with me telling me she canāt do a refund, to do it in the app. I told her thereās no option to do so. So she said call corporate, itās not my problem, weāre not affiliated with that app. Iām like itās almost 11pm on a Saturday, corporate aināt there, you can do a refund, call your store manager. Dominique told me she was on vacation & she wasnāt doing anything, I could sit there all night if I wanted to. I told her to call the district manager bc I wasnāt leaving without my product or money. Itās not my fault they ran out of tea and didnāt make more. The DM explained how to do the refund to her because she could indeed do it. She refunded the entire order at 10:49 pm, refused to give me my sonic blast. So after driving there then waiting 38 minutes in line, I left with nothing. The burgers were SO perfect! Delicious, perfect temperature, right amount of condiments and toppings. The tots were hot and crispy. We would LOVE to eat at Sonic again!!
BUT NOT AT THIS LOCATION!!!
One of our party wanted to use the 1.99 menu, and picked everything she wanted. Only to be told that the 1.99 menu was ONLY available through the mobile app. Which wasn't working properly. There was no sign anywhere saying any limitations on that menu.
Okay, fine. We ordered different things. All combo meals. Nothing customized, all ordered directly from their menu. The food was reasonably quick to arrive.
However
The fries were cold and not salted. The tots were missing. And two of the three burgers were wrong. Including BOTH missing the bacon they were advertised to have. So EVERY meal was wrong.
We called back and told them there was a problem, clearly describing the issue when asked. After too long of a wait, the server came back and asked the same question, which we described what was wrong for a second time. Understandably, she requested the incorrect burgers. We gave them to her in the original bag that had the detailed order list on it.
SEVERAL minutes later she returned with the burgers. Still no tots. We had to call AGAIN.
They finally completed the order - finally - and we were able to eat. There was no action taken to make up for their errors, no apology, no refund or offer of dessert, etc. Nothing.
Go to Sonic, absolutely. Don't go...
