Wawa — Restaurant in Maryland

I went in there and ordered a chocolate chocolate chip smoothie. I paid and went to the drink counter to pick it up and saw that no one had even started making it. As as matter of fact there wasn't anyone behind the drink counter. Keep in mind, there were hardly any customers in there. There were three people behind the counter where they make the food orders not paying attention. They didn't even pick up my order. I ask one girl if it went through. She didn't answer and asked another girl "who's gonna get it?" They were all debating who was going to make it. The one girl kept whining that she didn't know how to make them. The other two girls had to show her. I noticed that she started making the drink and then threw out the contents from the blender and started all over again. She kept yelling "don't ever ask me to do this again!" Then all of them started raising their voices and goofing around all the while the loud mixer was on. Then two people came in that they obviously knew personally who came up at the drink counter and the girls started talking to them instead of doing their job. When I got the smoothie I asked if there were chocolate chips in there and one of the girls said yes. I told her it looked like cookies and cream. I tasted it and told her it was cookies and cream. Then she pointed at the girl who made it and said something like you were the one who made it! Another girl said something to the effect that she doesn't know what she is doing. I told her again it tasted like cookies & Cream. She then said "oh no, no, no, she threw out the first one she made!" So, she admitted the order was wrong. Then she asked if I wanted chocolate chips on top of the drink. I'm thinking, how about paying attention, get the order correct, do your job and train your employees. These drinks are not cheap. This is the worst customer service i've ever had at Wawa. I just resigned to the situation and left....

I have always gone to this wawa on lunch prior to the remodel and i am a very patient person. I went in today 11/2 to grab something for lunch, now that is had been remodeled, i had the worst experience i have ever had there and do not think i will return. I waited 15 mins for them to tell me they didn't have something to make my food order, then my coffee order was never made. I ordered 2, there was one ready, she claimed it was for me, i tried it, it was completely wrong and there was only one. The food service employees were rude and talk back with an attitude. Chris the manager had to refund us and step in and make our drink order bc the girl making our coffee didn't know what she was doing. Just overall terrible experience, i have worked in food and customer service, so i can understand to an extent. But no matter the industry the customer is always right. I did not deserve to be talked back to like that. I ended up getting my money back for the food, and the manager had to step away from register to do the food clerks job. Overall i was in there 30 mins plus, left in a horrible mood and no food. I recommend retraining your food clerk employees to work more efficient and handle customer complaints better. Did not get any names bc i was so frustrated but it was 3 separate girls i had to fight with to get my point across. Very disappointed. Also this is very first review. I have never been so frustrated to make a bad review before, but this horrible experiences compelled me...

Because it's wawa! Great food..great manager/management. Went in to purchase voodoo chips, at the time they were out of stock.The manager (a younger gentleman) approached me and asked if he could help me find what I was looking for. (They had recently changed where they displayed the voodoo chips so I thought maybe they changed it again). We looked together and could not locate the chips. I went to order a sandwhich, meanwhile the manager called other wawa's to find the chips!!! He let me know what other wawa to drive too locally to find the chips. Just that extra step alone was a really great gesture. I do frequent the store a lot, since I live around the corner. However, ever since that visit... the voodoo chips are always in stock (and we don't buy them everytime we visit). True quality customer service, wawa goes the extra mile. Also, the bathrooms are clean! After a road trip from Florida to Baltimore we stopped in missing our wawa and I used the restroom (I never use public restrooms) and they were very clean. Store is clean inside and outside....
