It has been a couple years since we visited here. Knowing how busy they are on weekend nights, we met friends early. 4pm. The ladies at the hostess station were very friendly and offered to seat us while we waited for our friends to arrive. Along the way, we were offered the chance to choose a steak from the display case. She also grabbed a basket of rolls and butter for the table. A great idea I've not experienced in any other restaurant. Smart marketing, too! I will add that the rolls are soft and fresh and the slightly sweet cinnamon butter is quite tasty. Our server, Ginger, was pleasant and attentive, drinks came quickly and when our friends arrived, she was quick to take their drink orders as well. She was particularly helpful when the men at our table needed help with the electronic payment terminal on the table. Those are the highlights and the most positive parts of our experience. Now, just a few "lowlights". The noise level is definitely not conducive to conversation. TRH is far from quiet. It feels like a fun place (lots of birthday/graduation, etc parties going on all around the restaurant) and the employees seem to enthusiastically bring their own brand of song to each celebration. Again, it's not a negative, it's fun! Just know before going that this is a noisy place at most people's meal times. Now to the food: All 4 of us got different entrees. Pulled pork which was good, chicken fried steak-a bit over-cooked and too much breading, a veggie platter which was good except for an over-cooked sweet potato and the grilled salmon which was also a bit over-cooked and was unusually "fishy"tasting. I eat a lot of salmon and know it has its own strong flavor but it should never taste fishy. It came with a broccoli carrot medley that was totally cooked into mush. However, when I asked Ginger if they could replace it with a fresher one, she agreed with me and did not hesitate to swiftly exchange it for another, fresher, much better dish. The Cactus onion was a delicious shareable (I had forgotten how much I like those!) So.... we WILL plan to return and give some other menu items a try. Next time, it's the filet mignon for me! And we'll go on a less busy weekday evening. For a fun atmosphere and, in my humble opinion, elevated bar food, DO go visit the Texas Roadhouse in our wonderful town of Westminster,...
Read moreMy husband and I have dined here multiple times as it’s probably the closest steakhouse to us and we enjoy a decent steak out and don’t always want to drive to the cities for the premium options nearest to us. I’ll share that we do frequent the Prime Rib restaurant as well as some other notable steak houses and totally admit we’ve enjoyed steaks at this Texas Roadhouse that absolutely compete with some of our highest end experiences elsewhere. The staff here has ALWAYS been friendly - especially once you get to the servers. We have encountered a few hostesses that were chatty with each other about their daily drama while customers stood nearby awaiting their tables. Not optimal to see or have to listen to but admit this was a small part of only two of our visits out of at least 8. Hosts / Hostesses can set the tone for an evening out though so something any restaurant should make sure management is on top of. I learned during our 30 minute wait about a breakup between two staff members because one was fooling around with another and a 4th exposed it resulting in all kinds of drama and even scheduling problems. Our entire wait time delivered a play by play saga as the hostesses talked about the love triangle between assisting arriving guests and seating guests. It was certainly quite the soap opera to keep us entertained while we waited but probably not the type of conversation you want your patrons exposed to. We give a 5 star though because this has not been the norm and everything else here including bathroom cleanliness has always been up to par. Great spot for a good steak and...
Read moreQuite literally the rudest service I have ever encountered. I work in customer service and I am pretty lenient on the staff since I know it can be stressful and difficult at times. I would never treat a customer the way my table was treated tonight. The waitress was friendly. I believe it was a manger who delivered such poor quality service. My party had come from out of state looking to have a nice dinner before sending my brother off to college and it was completely ruined. Let it be known that everyone in my party was over 21 and had a valid ID. One person in our party who was 21 had a vertical ID and was denied liquor services, which was totally fine. We absolutely understood and did not give the waitress a hard time—that person just didn’t order a drink. The rest of my party did however, and the 21 year old had simply taken a sip of my drink to try it. Immediately after we paid the bill the manager ran over and swiped MY drink with not a word and did not allow a refund. Understandably we were confused. The manager’s response to our questions was nasty and uncalled for. There was no problem with the fact that the vertical ID was not accepted, we understand this was not a personal attack on our party, but an employee should know how to properly explain an unusual policy to out-of-state customers when dealing with situations like this—especially a manager. Instead he publicly embarrassed us and treated us like we were children trying to illegally purchase drinks. We were very uncomfortable for the remainder of dinner...
