Iāve been a frequent customer of Tropical Smoothie for some time now, but this location in Clinton, Maryland with regard to communication with the customer from a āMANAGEMENTā standpoint is absolutely ā.QUESTIONABLEā and āUNACCEPTABLEā. I Ordered one of my normals and requested to have it made with half of the sugar content whereas manager with a condescending and dismissive approach, advise that āsince it had already been prepped, it cannot be made overā. At this point I advised that due to my strict diet, I cannot consume the smoothie. With āHERā dismissive and condescending tone, advised again that it cannot be made over. Mind you, itās sitting on the counter in the container along with others orders waiting to be blended/made. My issue with these āYOUNGā managers, this one specifically 27 years of age per her disclosure, is there is training that is absolutely needed relative to communicating with the general public. My concern is no different from anyone elseās, but as one of the nicest men you could ever meet, as professional and courteous as they come, father of adult children and I say this to say that, I will not tolerate such unprofessionalism from anyone regardless of age especially when Iām spending my money and being absolutely courteous. This young generation āSOMEā not āALLā, really need to be taught as to what āUNIVERSAL COURTESYā is. I did escalate the concern to the companyās headquarters in Atlanta, GA. First impressions are lasting. I visited June 11th (Tuesday) around 12:30pm. I was really expecting this spot to be busy, with an extensive wait. The former is true, but not the latter. And for that I was pleasantly pleased. Busy, but with little wait time.
I ordered the Chia Max Smoothie (w/Peanut Butter), Baja Chicken Bowl and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Everything, absolutely everything, was scrumdiddlyumptious!!!

I was able to place my order quickly and it was, no kidding, ready within 15 minutes....What!!! The employees also seemed to be on their J.O.B. Ms. Ebony took my order and got everything correct. Perfection.
I read other reviews complaining about the wait time and service....I experienced none of that, even withstanding the busy lunch time hour.
The franchise owner of this spot is definitely on the right track (kudos) and I sincerely hope it stays that way, cause I'd love to come back again and again.
The locale, albeit clean and organized, is fairly small, but they seem to be getting the job done. One minor issue I noticed (not Tropical Smoothie's impediment) is the congested parking. Construction and the such is still in-queue in this area, so one can only hope the gridlock, cramped feeling is temporary.

My order number was *4869, I ordered late Saturday evening for myself and my son sick, who had just been released from the hospital. The drinks were not properly prepared. Me or my son didn't drink them. They tasted like they were missing fruit and veggies. I brought them back to the store with the contents inside, but I was told by the MANAGER on duty that nothing could be done because it's been over 24 hours. Even though he could see that it was a melted smoothie. And I still had the paid receipts on them. So, I'm pissed that I was just beat out of my hard earning money during economic tough times. He brushed me off with no empathy or bother. Do you have a policy that states unsatisfied food/drinks must be returned within 24 hours for consideration? I'm livid.
