I have eaten from Underground on 3 occasions. Twice from this location and once from the downtown location. Their pizza was incredibly good two of the times. The one time it was bad was at the towson location. But that was delivery, and I realized it needs to be enjoyed fresh. I went here two weeks ago, and my card was charged twice, but my order didn't go through. The lady at the front desk said she needed to call her manager. There were two she ended up contacting. I'm guessing the managers were out living their lives while their employees had to do more work than they should've. It was weird that there was not one manager on duty. She had a very difficult time assisting me, specifically because she had to call multiple people to even figure out how to resolve the issue. One of the managers should've been in the store. And I don't blame her. She was incredibly nice. It took 45 minutes for me to receive confirmation that the two check numbers were voided. That's a long time to be standing there whilst hungry. It was infuriating, but I refused to take it out on her, and getting upset wouldn't have changed it. The managers knew it was a long inconvenient process and offered me nothing. One was supposed to contact me back, but they didn't. They didn't care. They lost a customer.
*Their response is grossly immature and unprofessional. Obviously, my post wasn't about telling them how to run their business. I stated facts about a very bad experience, and they didn't even apologize. Nor did they apologize for not getting in touch with me as promised. The only thing I said that was suggestive was that a manager should've been in the store. All stores have managers and leads. People who are trained to deal with difficult situations. Or they could not, which just shows that they don't care about their employees or the future of their business. I don't eat a lot of pizza, which is why I've only been 3 times, but I used to refer people to them a lot. Now I don't. Good luck with being rude to people who help keep your business...
Read moreAs a new patron seeking out this establishment being that I seen it advertised on Instagram..I'm extremely dissatisfied. Upon entry walking in with my child there was a delayed greeting. When then greeted, I informed the worker that it's my first time and he made no effort at all to tell me about any food items/options. I literally had to draw information out of him in order to get a sense of what I could be potentially ordering. His demeanor was lackluster and it was very evident in contrast to how he communicated with a customer whom was already in there before my arrival, as well as the arrival of another patron whom came to pick up her order. I asked about the mushroom items on the 'menu' that I came in about and that I seen on the IG post how it's 20% off for any mushroom item on Mondays. I asked if he was going to apply to my order had I not remembered to mention it. I received a no, and that only if a customer brings it up. Fast forward to receiving the Mushroom Caps which I ordered.....needless to say, I'm less than pleased not only in the manner in which it was just placed at me, very nonchalantly. Additionally, when I opened the container the mushroom caps looked soggy and skimp and not at all like what I seen advertised on the IG posting online. See pictures inserted [on the left is what i received, on the right is the IG post advertisement]. I would like a refund or a replacement of the Mushroom Caps food item. This service was highly unacceptable and disappointing for what I thought would become a new...
Read moreSetting aside that Underground Pizza in Towson is my favorite pizza place in Maryland, I’m writing this review mainly to capture how awesome the people are.
First- my partner unfortunately placed an order at a different Underground Pizza location when he intended to do a pick-up at Towson. When I went to the Towson location to pick up the order per my partner’s request, I was prompted to provide an order number. After calling my partner a handful of times in an effort to procure said order number (without success), the manager or associate kindly went out of his way to call the Downtown Baltimore location to confirm if my partner inadvertently ordered there. And with that, he confirmed this and helped find the order we were looking for (because it was not at the Towson location).
Second- When I left to walk back to my apartment, which happens to be near the Towson Underground Pizza location, a belligerent individual accosting others at my apartment’s entry way was standing there. I got scared after he made belligerent gestures and cursed at a female tenant walking her dog, so I rushed back to the pizza place. When I explained to the staff that I came back inside to wait until that individual left, the same manager or associate went out of his way to walk me back to my apartment to ensure my safety. Thanks to him, I got home safely and cannot express how grateful I am to be nearby a location with...
