KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot — Restaurant in Towson

Unfortunately it was unexpected and unpleasant experience on my daughter's graduation day, we were a family of 7 including a kid, We all ordered beef, shrimps and rice except my kid wanted noodles , I asked the server for the noodles , she told me she has to ask the manager for exception as the only way to get the noodles is by charging the whole people on the table for noodles too, I said WHAT. Then she went back and forth many times through a whole hour and each time I ask her about the noodles and she always say she is waiting for manager DECISION, my daughter's friends came also and they took a separate table, so I went to cashier and I told her I will pay for the other table too, the manager came in front of the two tables and start to count the people while the server was next to him, I told him it is 11 adults and a kid. The manager or the owner and the server left and came back and starting to count the chairs again , I repeated my self again 11 adults and a kid. I stayed quite all the time , I did not want to make any scene on my daughter special day or in front of her graduate friends, I got the check , I made the calculations for number of people and the check amount, it did not make Sense but I am still in a position, I don't want to make a scene in this special day, the server came with the credit card machine, and I got charged, then at the end of transaction there is a survey, do you like your stay or our service something like that, I told the server, what about the noodles for my kid, she told me the manager says NO, at this point I was speechless and I sucked it in and the server told me she will take care of the survey and she ran away, The place itself is well decorated and nice grills but the food has nothing to do with Korean food marination especially I personally ate Korean food in Busan Korea and multiple Korean places in Chicago, There is no dedicated sauce bottles for each table , it is just aside table with shared bottles at the food bar for all the tables, the way of ordering food is great , just using a tablet for each table but it takes a quite time to get the orders on your table then cooking the food will take more time and the only way to over come this delay just go and grap these fried shrimps and fried chicken on the side bar as if you are in a Chinese open buffet restaurant. Any way I enjoyed the graduation day vibes,I acted as if nothing is bothering me , I did not want this unpleasant experience ruin this special day. I know it is hard to satisfy all customers but nice decorations and nice stainless grills does not make good food or good customer service..by the way My eight years kid was not approved by the manager to get noodles unless the whole table gets charged...

So yesterday that was thanksgiving.. We has 10 people’s totally.. Me and my mom and my brother and he wife was show up before to get the table Firstly, other member in family was look for parking. So I told the front desk’s that we has 10 people so any ways can we getting the bigger family’s table is could , so the front desk service asked the manager then she told me that we can’t get bigger tables has to get 4 people tables causes has to be show up all 10 people together then can get the bigger tables . As I told them they was parking!!!! Manager wont let us take’s tables as sitting 10 member family. Ok that fine! for me ,i takes smaller tables waited for my other sister and cousins show up . Then here is made us feels bad here .. my Moms she wants a hot pot and me and my brother and he wife wantd BBQ .. the services he very nice told us that has to ask the Managers. Then he back told us that we has to get all hot pot or 4 all BBQ we cannot make it up BBQ for 3 people, then my mom got HOt pot. I told them why ????? I can piad xtra money cause my mom is old can’t ate BBQ !! The One Kpot in ellicocity they can do ether hot pot or BBQ no matter how many people.. Why this one in Townson can not?? and The managers acting liked don’t wantd to talk to us about it , why we can’t not do BBQ and hot pot ???? The managers just stay there talk to other worker .. God this is bad … pay over 400$$ with tipping and getting a unhappy and feel bad causes we wantd us mom getting Hot pot and we can BBQ they won’t let us has 2 different thing.. and the Manager don’t even came out and talk to us, she just stay there talking and looks at us and talk to other worker …even the guy servers has ask the manager ready .. what we request.. this pretty sad for spending $$ and we first time trying and never came back again … give Zero star for this if I could…. If The owned reading this pleased takes time and reading this to gets what I trying to telling… just a smaller request my Mom ate hot pot and we getting BBQ and we willing pay xtra money for that .. But managers won’t let US has it … I never leaves bad feedback before only this time feel pretty as about there service...

We wait two hours for horrible service and a single bowl of ramen....

I have been to Kpot several times up and down the eastern shore, and never had we had the experience we had at this location. We got on the wait list for and it took an hour, no big deal it was dinner time and I understand that. They called us 3 times in less the five minutes when our table was ready when I told them we are walking up the block on the first call. We get there and that put us at a table with another couple. When we said we want a table with our own tablet, they put us at the back of the new waiting list and it was going to be another hour. Why put us at the back of the line when we have already been waiting? We wait the extra hour and part of our party opts out due to the time and just wanted to grab something quick and head back to the hotel. The rest of our party goes and everything starts off great. We get our order in and wait for stuff to come out. Most of mine came out and I was missing a few things but the order placed by the other member of the party only had two things come out. We waited to see if it would come out and it didn't so we asked the server to check for us. We didn't want to end up with double orders and waste it. She said she would and we never heard back for almost 30 mins. The person I was with asked for a manager to come over she got some of the order but we still had items missing. She said she would have someone over to change the grill and that didn't happ5for another 20 minutes or so. At this point our party was just annoyed and was ready to go. One person literally just had broth and noddles with spinach because nothing came out. The manager made up excuses and said how they don't do discounts and that we are welcome to stay but we had lost our appetite and just wanted the check. We were still charged 30$ for a single pack of noodles. This was outrageous! We paid and left and agreed that this was by far the worst service we had ever received from a Kpot location.
